Fandom of Group Promotion Vendors and Vendors…I don’t get it

They voted to not release publicly.

Honestly, the first round didn't reveal anything exciting or out of range results. It was more of a warm up and setting a baseline for future tests. Good science works like that. Cheap entertainment with a future of interesting findings and good discussion in the group. Better get in while there's still good seats left. 😉

I just did a quick search on tg about accumark. Found a post where ww said she was sick of Jano and thinking about switching to accumark or Chromate.

In Jano's defense they have been going through growing pains, little wonder with the boom in the grey market that has stressed the hell out of everyone. He's been posting his work flow times in the Lab Chat on the K TG group and has it down to a couple of days between receiving the sample and it's testing as well as working on a new US mailing discount system.

A vendor is only a good vendor until they are not. My suggestion is never spend anything you aren't willing to lose. Makes it very tough for me, cause I am NEVER willing to lose my damn money hahahhahaha 🤷‍♀️

You are sounding a lot like zippy?

Also just bought from a new group with the initials TSTS. I really like the girl Fionna that runs it. So we will see how that goes

Message me who this is, I don't remember. Thanks

I'm in 20 GB groups and have only purchased from two, one multiple times. I lurk for a month or so to get a feel for the organization, or lack thereof, before ordering. I did try a new purchase with one and it took so long to get product that I backed out. I did get my money back, so no harm done. I'm still waiting on a couple purchases from one GB that's going on three months, but I can wait.

I see this all the time in many industries, there was almost a "cult" like following to a new fiber internet company in my area. These people, who just signed up and had not been with the company long enough for issues, were swearing they were the best ever.

I think once we buy something we tend to justify it mentally-

Example:

Purchase reassurance psychology is the mental process of seeking comfort, proof, or validation to reduce fear, doubt, and buyer's regret before and after spending money

Maybe it’s cuz I’m generally not a joiner, maybe it’s because I am a fan of generics (if a product gets the job done, that’s good enough for me)!

I haven't been scammed on any GB or direct purchase in almost two years of buying, so I must be doing something right. Knock on wood.

How did it happen the first time?

I had one I ordered 3/15, it closed 4/4 and I got my stuff 8/6. It was the vendor, and testing that took so long. No big deal, I had plenty in stock. The R60 was 5mg short, so we got $15 off per kit. I had 4 kits.

Same, I haven't been in them that long, but choose carefully myself.

I’ve only found 1 GB that I have given my money to. I had been searching the internet for this specific GB cause of the low chat I heard about it, and the positive things. With all the horror stories of people running off with $ and all this scamy stuff and whatnot, I really can’t relax about any buys ever, let alone fan over someone who’s turning a profit or doing something that also benefits themselves. It’s not altruistic 🤣. Fanning is weird to me. I probably also operate under extreme caution and apprehension cause I don’t wanna lose my damn money 🤣

I have to see how I feel when I get my products. I’ve considered placing an order with a vendor next….we shall see. 💕

This. The people running these things are not doing any of us a favor. They are making money. Often quite a bit of money. No matter how we or they want to slice it, they are providing a for-profit service. The whole “I have a full time job outside of doing this” argument rings a bit hollow when you’re GB is charging $25 more for the exact same product from the exact same vendor as another GB. That’s potentially an extra $5k for packing up 200 orders.

Magically, none of the personal problems that slow delivery ever seem to impact their ability to collect people’s money in a timely manner.

And the last thing I’ll say, is that the hero worship thing tends to be the loudest in the places you should steer clear of. You might see a couple of folks agreeing, but there will be hundreds of folks saying absolutely nothing because their products/refunds/etc. are being slow rolled and held hostage. Remember, there is pretty much zero recourse if the Group Promotion Vendor never sends you your stuff.

Pretty sure I wouldn't want to run one and do it for free not with all the crap have to put up with from everyone. If I get a good deal and am ok with paying for it no problem with them making some money. I look at who all has GB and cost then make my choice. I might actually pay a little more to a certain Group Buy because I feel that is the best place for me to put my money with high chance of getting my stuff and in a timely manner

This, not the other one above.

Commission is 💯 standard in the horse industry. There are absolutely people who feel like others should provide a service for zero compensation, and these are usually the same people who can't even pay someone to help them, because the price isn't worth the hassle of managing them and their expectations.

Absolutely. Nobody is entitled to someone else’s labor for free. And your second point, oh yeah, I would never want to deal with the expectations of the vast majority of the people who’ve never done a GB before with their expectation that they be spoon fed because they spent money.

But, the other side of the coin is also true. If I’m paying a Group Promotion Vendor to get me my stuff (as best they can, within the realities of dealing with various vendors) then I expect them to be business-like and not act like they’re doing me a favor and I should just be super grateful, even when they have my stuff and don’t get around to sending it to me for more than a month.

It’s a business transaction. If you can’t handle the workload you have, don’t take on more business, ya know?
