Before this, my stack was about 9mg Tirz plus 4mg Reta, and fat loss was going well…then I got the idea to swap Tirz out for Sema, since Sema costs less and Reta already covers GIP. That was a huge mistake.

Instead of improving, I ended up feeling way more inflamed and bloated, and the scale wouldn’t move. On top of that, the food noise came rushing back, and any mental restraint I had is completely gone. So now I’ve gone back to 5mg Tirz and the change is already noticeable! I still need my levels to build back up, but I’m stunned by how big the difference is.

Tirz, I’m sorry I ever doubted you😭😭😭

Tirz doesn't cost much.

Sema costs even less, since for the majority of users it doesn't deliver the same results.

The stronger gip agonist is what sets tirz apart.

With no gip agonist at all, sema stays plain 😵😂
I figured the gip in Reta would cover it, but having less gip makes a huge difference!!! At least it was worth trying

Yeah, I grabbed a single vial of sema on a whim...now it just sits forlornly in my fridge, since I doubt I'll ever actually give it a try.

Total fib. Eventually I'll get restless and wonder about it 😂 but tirz and reta will remain my mainstays.

Don't ever question Tirz! 😆

8 weeks of stacking Sema on top of my primary Reta has me down 23lb. Sema's side effects, mostly mild or ignorable, still hit harder than the relatively gentle ones from Tirz or Reta.

I've got roughly 600mg of Sema sitting around, you know, just in case. At the dose I'm on now, that would last 46 years. 😂

Right now I'm tapering my Reta dose down and can't decide what to stack for the food noise. I've still got about 20lb left before I hit my final goal.

Thanks for posting this!!! I have never come across anything saying sema is more effective for somebody, only that it can be added on when someone needs assistance with hunger or food noise
My first GLP-1 was prescription sema, and I turned out to be a suuuuper responder. The 2.5mg dose got me losing, and I parked there for months — right up until the doctor's samples dried up. (Side note: that doctor was a saint. While I was battling my insurance company, she kept handing me box after box for months and months.)

The only reason I titrated up was because that's the step I was "supposed" to take. Looking back, I can't help wondering how things would have gone if I'd just held at low-dose sema and waited until my body actually asked for more... That said, I'm really fond of tirz — it brings other advantages to the table.

This is exactly why I've kept saying Reta won't push Tirz out — both have their own place and can sit alongside each other.

For a lot of people, Tirz appears to do much more on the mental side, and that matters greatly.

When food noise isn't an issue, Reta gets to work on visceral fat more quickly. And if someone's liver fat or visceral fat is at dangerous levels, Reta becomes the more logical pick.

Other smaller distinctions exist too, but I believe I've covered the ones that count most.

I grabbed 2 kits at 5mg each, partly to push the order total up to qualify for free shipping, and partly with a 'eh, why not, you never know' attitude....

That's incredible — being a super responder is awesome news!! Really glad for you!! Sema is something I still haven't given a try, and so far nothing has made me a super responder, or even a regular one (super slow). Plenty of people I've read about began on it and continue to be fans. What I haven't come across, though, is anything about that working while Tirz or Reta didn't (on the same RS). Then again, I haven't gone through every post everywhere, so maybe some exist out there, ha ha 🙂

It's a shame the experiment didn't pan out, but thanks for being open about what you learned and the outcomes!

Haha, when I saw that my brain filled in "basic (b!tch)" 🤣🤣🤣
So that means I've accomplished what I set out to do 😂😂😂

Over the course of 6 weeks, my mindset shifted completely. At first I wasn't sure I even wanted to start Tirz. Now? I plan on taking tirz until I'm 95 — and honestly, why not throw Reta into the mix as well? Lmao
You've definitely landed among the right crowd! And wow, you've picked up so much in such a short window!! Now you're the one teaching me things! 🥰

Sema is already considered a first generation glp1, old as she is... even so, I still keep her around and she puts up with me most of the time. From what I recall, the advanced trials top out at 7.2mg, so once I'm at max tirz or reta and the hunger starts panging, I'll have to respect a lower starting dose of 1mg sema... while fully admitting I'll pin 3 more mg the next dsy
