Dosing and single vial stability

Hey all

Relatively new here, and in an attempt to get the best deal for myself, I went ahead and got myself a 50 mg reta kit

Now, I've been doing continuous deep dives and have been reading that once a vial of reta has been reconstituted, the BAC water is only really guaranteed to work for ~28 days (ref. USP 797), assuming minimal light and consistent refrigeration,

So as many of you can likely guess where this is going, I clearly wont be consuming 50 mg in the span of 4 weeks, so what is my best option here? Should I just hang onto them and order more appropriately sized kits for my dose (eg 10 or 20 mg)?

Or is there some obvious solution here that I am missing?

Appreciate any and all assistance in advance, this forum is a breath of fresh air compared to other online peptide forums!

My follow up question is, so if we now have 3 reconstituted vials, aren't they all running down the same ~28 day clock? How do you keep the others you aren't actively using good for a longer period of time?

All time total vial taken into account, about how long do you keep reta on average before moving on to the next vial?



im about to hit the 90 day mark. I still have more than half my vial...but I think im gonna call it. I do kinda think maybe its already started degrading just going off vibes LMAO. But in all honesty ive never titrated up so it's very likely that. Are you all stretching them out this long...

A few things.

Not many of us do 28 days, I have heard medical pros here say that is more in a multi user situation at a hospital.

Reta does show degradation at the 45 day mark

I would try to buy kits that would last 30-60 days

You can save the R50 for when you titrate to a higher level and use smaller kits for now.

Understood, so no magic way to stop the clock to ~45 days on the other vials

Once its reconstituted, not much you can do?

Yeah, some peptides are more sturdy than reta, tirzepatide strength can stay strong out past 60 days after reconning...some peptides do worse...

Some peptides like tirz you can freeze after recon and it doesn't lose too much of it's potency....I believe reta loses a bit more %'s of it's potency after freezing, but at least that is better than tossing it...

Thank you both! Good thing is I've got them in the freezer with desiccant to keep the humidity nice and low, so it should satay good for a while 🙂

Glad I learned this prior to wasting any... always miss something

Now to spend more money on a more appropriate kit 😅

Why I should never read this forum after gummy: 1 - paranoid I should be dead because BAC water goes bad in 28 days and I just use mine until it is out. 2 - folks talking about freezing after recon.

hahahahaha - to be clear, I have non-reconstituted powder in the freezer, not liquid

Most likely, you will go down rabbit holes like the rest of us and start getting more peps to try. Then you will not ever have to worry about your BAC lasting for too long.

I have 4 constituted vials from compounded pharm that are at BUD (not that that means anything), and I obvi cant use it all rn, so I was wondering if it is better in fridge or freezer at this point, until ready to use.

I'm not freezing anything thats been reconned.

I have a years worth of compounded BPI in my stash. That stays in the refrigerator. Lyophilized kits/vials go in the freezer.

yeah it is BPI, so u think just keep in fridge then?

I'll use it within a year of the printed BUD...and I'm good with that from BPI (503B). I don't see any reason at all to freeze the vials.

I have used a vial of reta for 90 days and personally did not feel any degradation and I know some others on here would agree. From my understanding Reta and Tirz does not start degrading until 120 days. With that being said, I would still recommend you save the 50mg vial for when you are using more per week and buy smaller vials and use those for now.

Can you cite your source on the 120 days? I keep reading about degradation starting at ~45.
 
Hmmmm, I was wondering this too. I have BPI compounded Tirz60 w/B6 - (6) vials that I started on May 7th. I just finished the 1st vial and opened #2 a week ago, so I have 5 vials left and I am only at 90 days of use. I have kept them in the fridge since day1 and it is the only Tirz I have used. I do feel that it has lost some of it's "punch". I'm still managing the food noise well, but I have desire to eat now unlike the past 90days on it. My dose is up to 10mg now and I'm thinking of going up to just burn through this stuff before I open my grey vials that are not compounded.

Should I:

Leave these 5 vials of compounded Tirz60 w/B6 in the refrigerator and use them over the next 26 weeks? OR Put them in the freezer and use them 1 at a time over the next 26 weeks? It's gonna take me 9-10 months to use all 6 vials based on my dosing.

They were prescribed as a 6 month supply, so I thought they would be fine if they were unpunctured but????????? I'm 2nd guessing that now..
