Do you notice any differences between peptides from different suppliers?

Have you picked up on any variation in peptides depending on who supplied them, or even when the dosage stays the same?

For me, RT20 has been giving a stronger response than the RT30 I used before, despite identical dosing and a longer stretch of use. Specifically, I spent 3 weeks on 2.5 mg from a vial of RT30, and switching to RT20 has produced a more pronounced effect.

The mg/ml concentration checks out, and both came from the same source. Earlier, though, I had Retatrutide from a different supplier, and that one also hit me differently.

As far as I know, I have the test reports for each of them, and they all look fine, which leaves me questioning how trustworthy those results are, or how well the product actually gets absorbed.

What's your take?

Several other variables come into play here. If all conditions matched, identical dosages ought to produce identical outcomes.

With grey-market products, you should never overlook how much improper shipping and handling can matter. This is particularly true for Reta, which research has indicated is the most fragile member of the Glp family.

Even when 3P testing is done, intra-batch variability may still exist.

With reta, TFA salts could be a problem.

Plus, from a biological standpoint, we aren't identical even 5 minutes later.

To be honest, the way Reta affects me shifts so much from 1 week to the next—even when I'm drawing from the same vial—that relying on how I feel couldn't possibly let me distinguish one vendor from another.

There's a particular brand I get from someone I purchase from that appears to pack a bit more of a punch, so to speak.

Indeed. Existentially speaking, we aren't even the same 5 minutes from now.

I'm in the same boat. A R20 vial from my latest order was just mixed up, yet this week my side effects have basically vanished. Even so, the scale keeps moving down and the food noise hasn't come back. That said, 4mg has been my dose for 4 weeks straight now. It could simply be that this dose no longer hits me the way it used to.

My wife reports the same thing, yet the weight is still coming off. The moment a stall hits is when you start asking yourself whether it's time to titrate up. We just did pin 5 at 6mg on Friday and are still losing. Hopefully that continues, otherwise it's 8mg.

When Jano runs multi-batch tests on vials, the amount of peptide inside each vial can vary quite a bit, even when those vials come from the SAME batch. So the Reta you inject probably isn't identical from one pin to the next. That's simply how it is.

When I come across Calm posts at 2, I'm placing an over/under wager with myself. Will I fail to grasp more than or fewer than 2 words!

No differences have stood out to me

That's exactly why I prefer knowing the true fill amount in mg before mixing. A while ago I had an R24 kit that turned out to be 22mg. I've also got an R50 kit that measures 56.5mg.

I've come across accounts of someone handing over a 30mg vial while claiming it's 20mg, so the product comes across as stronger.

Yeah, that trick is something local sellers of individual vials are notorious for. I had no idea it went that far, though it stands to reason when a COA might not even exist on their end. Still, an overfilled 30 mg vial only makes the whole situation more absurd.

Right, and each vendor tops up by a different amount so their product comes across as stronger. For them the cost is so low that doing this pays off.

Although 2mg is typically the starting step-up amount, in my view, beyond 6mg you should increase by just 1mg each time. Past 6mg, side effects tend to show up more often.

If I were to make a guess, telling apart minor dose variations would usually be quite hard — except in cases like mine, where certain side effects track very closely with dose. My skin sensitivity, for instance, causes no trouble at 15mg of tirz and 5 mg of reta, yet becomes clearly worse when I add just 1 extra mg of either per week. A dose that was 1mg lower, on the other hand, I doubt I could detect.

As for appetite and hunger effects, my guess is that expectation and placebo are the more probable sources of the differences people notice. Vendors do sometimes dose inaccurately, but their errors are almost always under 10%, while the gap between 20mg and 30mg reta is closer to 50%. Beyond that, hunger on GLP drugs shifts over time — it depends on how much work, exercise, or stress you had that week, on whether you ate more or less than usual over the past few days or week, and likely on random day-to-day and week-to-week variation that has no clear cause. So unless you are judging the drug by a dose dependent side effect, relying on "feels" for appetite suppression is probably not very precise.
