Considering GHK-Cu for skin—does it fit a set-cycle approach?

I’m a 30M. There are some mild aging changes on my face, and while they’re not severe, they don’t quite match the look I want as Reta, a strict diet, exercise, and manual labor have me close to the best shape I’ve ever been in.

I’m trying to figure out which peptide would work best for skin complexion or collagen stimulation. GHK-Cu was my first thought. I know NAD+ doesn’t make much sense for someone my age.

What matters to me most is anything that runs in defined cycles, because I don’t want to keep huge piles of syringes around forever. The weekly Reta amount is manageable, but several bags won’t fit in my small box, so MT2 has already felt a bit awkward.

I’d like to hear anyone’s thoughts on that set-cycle requirement. I know this info is already here, but being specific might help other people find what they need too, so I posted.

Hey, GHK is something I've been meaning to try as well — and KPV has its uses for skin too.

Were I 30 and dealing with this, with the hindsight I now have, I would have gotten testing done to look for a hormone imbalance, especially involving the steroid hormones.

At your age, HGH can still be influenced by consuming a few grams of arginine, so make the most of that window.

Keep in mind that after L'Oréal bought Cerave, you can find moisturizing creams on the market that have KGHK in them.

Also, increase your water intake.

At your age ghkcu is unlikely to do much for you. kpv though — absolutely worth a go!

Sorry for the late reply and for not thanking everyone earlier — I’ve been away from the internet. The mirror doesn’t really show it, but when I use the camera on my iPhone, the things I’m concerned about become obvious. I had been looking into ghk-cu, though I’ve read in other places that I’m roughly 5 years away from it actually doing anything for me. What I want to work on is tightening pores and cutting down on bags and the lines around my mouth. These days I’m less concerned about how much goes in a syringe. I plan to give retinal a try, but weight loss and pigmentation peptides have worked so well for me that I was hoping the same kind of payoff could carry over to an area like this.

For topical application, cosmetic-grade GHK-Cu has substantial research supporting it, and it's carried by most vendors. You can find serum recipes without much trouble. Still, the single most important skincare habit—regardless of your skin tone—is wearing sunscreen daily! I personally like Sunprise watery light 50SPF. Dr. G’s Brightening Up Sun and Black Girl Sunscreen (which Consumer Reports rates highly) are solid choices too.

Between iPhone selfies and webcams, a LOT of people have become insecure about how they look. Some even end up getting nose jobs because the lens exaggerates the nose, which IMO is unfortunate when the decision comes from lens distortion.

If the aging only shows up through the lens and not in the mirror, then pay attention to lighting when you want to come across better on camera. Lighting changes everything! Natural light, particularly diffuse light on a cloudy day, works best. Overhead lighting brings out a haggard look. A cheap clip-on light for your phone or computer costs anywhere from $4-25 and makes a huge difference. I refuse to do a webcam meeting without one! (I’m an advanced amateur photographer, and many people in my family model…lighting and a good pose are everything to us.)
