Building out a first stack - peptides worth looking at for recovery?

Right now tirz is the only thing I take, purely for weight loss, but I've been hitting the gym a lot lately and at 48 I'm no spring chicken anymore, so small aches and pains are starting to show up in places. I've just begun digging into other peptides, and so far the ones on my list are CJC-1295+Ipamorelin, SS-31, MOTS-C and the wolverine stack (BPC-157+TB-500).

The one I'm most drawn to as a first step is CJC-1295+Ipamorelin, based on a friend of mine who runs it and calls it a solid entry point. There's no deadline on my end, so I'm taking my time with the reading.

Recovery feels like the place I should start. My sessions are pretty demanding and I push myself right up to what feels like a sensible limit, so anything that shortened the bounce-back would be huge.

My routine is a PPL split (Push/Pull/Legs) laid out across 5 days a week, with the rest days spaced apart so there's enough time to actually recover. On those off days I do cardio, depending on how I feel that day.

My diet is clean, though I still make sure to hit the calories I need, plus protein obviously.

Lyfta is the app I train with (love it) - it tells me which muscles still need rest and which are good to go. For calories and protein I use FatSecret.

Any pointers or advice would be hugely appreciated.

The wolverine stack (BPC-157+TB-500) and CJC-1295+Ipamorelin are what I'm leaning towards as a starting point.

Anyone? No one?

Tagging along on this one. SS-31, MOTS-C and KLOW are sitting here waiting to be stacked onto my tirz, and the next step is working out a plan. Always glad to hear what the peanut gallery has to say.

Going with cjc&ipa is a sensible way to begin. No injury means wolverine probably isn't needed, though a kit of mine is sitting in the freezer for exactly that scenario.

For energy, 5amino1mg was a real help and it nudged the weight loss along a bit too.

Adding kisspeptin is worthwhile as well.

Once you're 48, CJC and IPA are a waste of money and patience. Just go HGH - it's not expensive anymore. Past a certain age, and plenty of people put it at around 40, secretagogues stop delivering, because you're asking a pituitary gland that has aged to pump out more growth hormone off a bigger signal.

KLOW does good work. Adding KPV on top of BPC and TB cuts inflammation further and takes some of the bite out of the GHK-CU.

There's a real chance you'd feel something from MOTS-C and SS-31 at your age. When I was 38 I ran SS31 through a bulk. Whether the energy boost came from the surplus calories or the SS31 was impossible to separate.

With MOTS-C the difference was barely there, maybe a small cardio gain. Insulin sensitivity is probably the one real thing I felt, since a hard session on the bike or a ruck would leave me bonking without carbs beforehand.

GLP, HGH and KLOW are what I run daily. They keep a high mileage veteran like me moving.

Sometimes I question whether I'm stacking far too much on top of each other... Then the supplier sends their Peptides list and I'm a kid standing in a toy store.

I'm 42 now, and the stack looks like this:

Reta

---

GCH-Cu

SS-31

5-Amino-1MQ

BPC-157

TB-500

KPV

hCG

Semax

Selank

Tessa is on the list to add, and in 10 days SS-31 gets swapped out for MOTs-C.

What's your SS-31 dose? I've been doing 5-7mg before training and the energy is unreal. Not the jittery over-caffeinated kind, just a smooth steady lift, at 22 it never felt this good, and I'm 56😀

About 8 weeks was my run at 4mg a day. Back when my thyroid gave out I was carrying a ton of fatigue. Energy has been better since that bulk and SS31 cycle. That said, I won't pretend 12 weeks or more eating at a surplus had nothing to do with it.

What has that got to do with workouts and SS-31? What SS-31 does is patch the holes in the mitochondria, which stops electrons escaping and producing oxidative stress. That is a repair and damage-prevention job over the long haul, not something you take before training for a boost of energy.

CJC/Ipa was my experiment for a month. For the past month it's been 3IU of HGH instead. Speaking as an older dude, GH beats the secretagogues.

Roughly your age over here, and our stacks look nearly identical:

Reta, HGH (only just begun), KLOW, plus Glutathione on my shelf, and honestly this is likely what I stick with going forward because the other compounds aren't showing me enough to bother.

Sermorelin and Epithalon were a 30 day cycle for me, though now that GH is in I've dropped the Serm, and Epi will just be cycled every 4 months.

Ok, that's roughly what I was afraid of. A full blood test is booked for when vacation ends though, so I'll get a look at where my hormone levels sit. For some reason HGH just spooks me. Any chance you could point me at the HGH for newbies section please 🥺

klow crossed my mind for a while, but injection pain came up a lot in what I read, so BPC-157 and TB-500 on their own seemed like the easier path. Now I'm drifting back towards klow

38 is where I'm at, and giving HGH a first try has been on my mind. There's some hesitation though - if I wanted to stop HGH at some point, would my body still make any of its own (even a small amount)? Shutting my pituitary gland down for good is not something I want.

This is what my reading said before I began HGH. While you're on it, your own production is switched off, so consistency is the whole point. BUT once you come off, expect anywhere from a few weeks up to a few months before the pituitary picks production back up again. Over that stretch, running secretagogues is what I'd treat as a PCT.

Naturally that applies when the use is for optimization and maintenance, not to years of heavy daily dosing.

Look at it like this. Assuming CJC and IPA actually did their job well, what separates them from HGH? Same endpoint either way.

The shortest HGH primer I can give. You normally begin at 2IU, then roughly 6ish weeks in you test IGF-1 along with Z score. Z score is your number measured against the average for your age bracket. General health and antiaging goals land most people near a Z score of 2. Move the dose up or down from there. Realistically you end up somewhere in the 1.5-3IU per day range.

Pre-bed dosing gives some people better sleep, and if you're one of the unlucky ones whose sleep it ruins, switch to first thing in the AM. (I'm in the ruined sleep group)

HGH is not testosterone. Your natural production is back the next day.

For me Klow has been completely painless when I pin the upper butt fat 😆 That tip came from other people here. Reaching around to grab a bit of skin and actually land the needle is the awkward bit when you're female. Best of luck!

Ok, that's roughly what I was afraid of. A full blood test is booked for when vacation ends though, so I'll get a look at where my hormone levels sit. For some reason HGH just spooks me. Any chance you could point me at the HGH for newbies section please 🥺

The wolverine stack (BPC-157+TB-500) and CJC-1295+Ipamorelin are what I'm leaning towards as a starting point.

Anyone? No one?
CJC/Ipa was my experiment for a month. For the past month it's been 3IU of HGH instead. Speaking as an older dude, GH beats the secretagogues.

Your call to skip straight to GH matches what I'd say.

It's the stack I run too, with great results.
Appreciate that.

Roughly your age over here, and our stacks look nearly identical:

Reta, HGH (only just begun), KLOW, plus Glutathione on my shelf, and honestly this is likely what I stick with going forward because the other compounds aren't showing me enough to bother.

Sermorelin and Epithalon were a 30 day cycle for me, though now that GH is in I've dropped the Serm, and Epi will just be cycled every 4 months.
klow crossed my mind for a while, but injection pain came up a lot in what I read, so BPC-157 and TB-500 on their own seemed like the easier path. Now I'm drifting back towards klow
For me Klow has been completely painless when I pin the upper butt fat 😆 That tip came from other people here. Reaching around to grab a bit of skin and actually land the needle is the awkward bit when you're female. Best of luck!
Pinching the skin in the glutes isn't something you really need, unless you are extremely lean.
