Bringing Peptides Up with Friends and Family

What’s your approach when you want to bring your closest people into peptides?

A while back, I told a friend about what I’ve been through. It went from compounded Tirz to grey Reta. I passed along links to this forum, STG, a pep calculator, and Fatscientist.

I told her I’d be around for questions, too. But my usual style is to give someone a nudge in the right direction and then let them do their own learning. Most of it, they can work out on their own.

Take jailbreaking phones, for example. Back when it made more sense to do it, I did it to my own phone. People would ask me to do theirs, and I turned them down every time. My answer was always that they should learn how to do it themselves. If their phone ended up bricked, I wasn’t about to have them pointing fingers at me or calling me at 4am to repair the damage.

So what’s your method for getting friends or family to come over to the grey side of the Force?

I'd tell them they needed to learn how it works themselves. If their phone got bricked, I wasn't about to have them pointing fingers at me or calling me at 4am to rescue their broken device.

So what's your method for getting friends and family over to the grey side of the Force?
 
Before anything else, I make it clear that choosing the grey market sounds like a genuinely awful plan when you look at it on paper, and I’m not about to tell anybody else to do it. Still, my own experience with it has been positive and the savings have been huge. Do your own research and decide for yourself.

A friend of mine once came to me asking for supplement recommendations to help with hair growth. Even though it was just a natural, friendly product you could get at any pharmacy, this friend had a "reaction" to it. And even after 10 years, he still brings it up every single time we see each other, as if I'm the one to blame. So these days, I just keep my advice to myself. Not ready for a another year of guilty feeling ✌️
 
It was my son who first got me into this. Around Christmas, I caught part of a conversation between him and my daughter — something about his wife using Tirz, and it was actually prescribed and covered by insurance. I asked him about it, and he said he was able to get it. After that, I looked into purchasing it myself. Somehow I ended up finding this place.
 
My daughter and I both use Reta, and the results she's gotten with weight loss have been incredible. That said, she already knew about nootropics and peptides before I did. When I brought it up with my sister, though, she's solidly in the FDA camp — anything cheap is automatically unsafe in her view.

I've got a name for them: Puggles. If Muggles can't grasp magic, then Puggles can't grasp peptides and simply don't see what they offer. I've shown her my own weight loss and talked up the advantages of the more common peptides, but it's like talking to a wall. Even so, I'll keep bringing it up with her. Other family members of mine would be horrified by what I'm doing. They're all Puggles.
 
Something I've picked up after more than 10 years of overhauling different parts of my life: my default is to stay quiet and never nudge anyone toward this. Should they bring it up, I'll gladly walk them through what I've been through. Should they want assistance, I'll gladly steer them the right way, paired with the same caveat that's already been raised in this thread. On paper, grey looks like a terrible route and it does carry risk. My own run has been positive, but YMMV.

Past that, I tell them to do some reading on their own, and if they're still curious or still stuck, I'm around to give as little or as much support as they're after.
 
With close relatives, I hold nothing back and have even assisted them in getting going. As for friends, I simply point them toward the Rabbit hole.
 
When it comes to my husband, I handle every part of the process — mixing his vials and creating nice-looking labels that spell out the precise number of units he should inject.

My closest friend admits she "doesn't like to research," so I take care of all her buying and she hands me cash. As for everyone else — other friends and relatives — I tell them they're welcome to purchase a vial or 2 from me at double my cost, and I explain that if they'd rather pay the same price I do, they'll need to look into the grey market themselves.

My friend and I keep going over this same topic. What’s the right way to bring up with my wife that Reta comes with plenty of upsides? It’s tricky territory (she’s in good shape, but complains about lipid profile, so ….)
 
I don't go out of my way to bring peptides up with anyone I know.

That said, word gets around. People find it funny and completely expected that my freezer holds 7k mg of Chinese tirz, and that I routinely inject a whole alphabet soup of other compounds. Once in a while, somebody messages me privately asking me to explain more about my "Chinese mystery powder." My response is always the same: "Sure, which one and what do you want to know?" From there, they might just ask a couple of curious questions, or they might wind up with a Chinese mystery powder habit of their own.
 
Walking through life now, I carry hope that came from Reta, and I know I could assist people around me who genuinely need that help — yet this is something I wrestle with.

Then I pause and take in what the world has turned into, and right there I remind myself to stay out of other people's affairs.

When people notice the hope in me, I'm prepared to explain it. Hope and excitement just radiate from me.

There once was a man who discovered the disease's cure. He kept it to himself and only his own life was spared.

A second man spread the word to many, and countless lives were saved. In time, his coffee shop was closed down. And a divorce happened. Yet his joy was immense.
 
With my wife and me, there is nothing complicated about it. Over the past 1.5 years, the change in our lives has been so significant that others comment on how healthy we appear. That naturally gives us a chance to explain what we are doing. As for us, we take real pride in what we have managed to do and make an effort to go into the specifics of Peptides’s whenever we can. It is curious to watch which people wind up investigating them further rather than opposing them.

Should someone ask, I'd share what I know.

Going to people who provide help? No.
 
Is anyone keeping their peptide use hidden from those around them?

In my own social group, I talk freely about what I'm taking and I like learning how it's going for other people—but my wife takes the opposite approach and has decided to keep it completely private from her relatives and even her closest friends.
