Overall results inconclusive.

Subject A did have improved metrics.

Both subjects want to continue starting in October.

We will be doing full logs again.

Thanks for checking in!

Just want to chime in that I really appreciate this log. I wish everyone would post something detailed like this for every peptide/medication.

I really appreciate that. We really never found any for ARA-290 specifically. Felt it was needed.

We are currently running another one on a custom blend! It’s for sleep. That will be getting wrapped next month.

Thanks for this

I have bad peripheral neuropathy and it's taking over my life, so I have decided to try ARA.

I will update with my results but any improvement at all would be a bonus.

I am sorry about your peripheral neuropathy (PN). I started tirzepatide 12 months ago, and to my surprise, my PN improved. I had, in addition, significant ankle swelling and loss of balance. The swelling went away almost instantly; the pain went away in a few weeks. My balance returned also. I couldn't go barefoot before. I am always barefoot at home now. I still have tingling. I added the usual supplements and recently tried ARA-290, SS31, and MOTS-C. I am not sure if they helped. Tirzepatide was obvious; for the rest, I will give it another year.

Thank you. I'm on Ret, although it doesn't seem to be doing that much for me, and I'm thinking about trying Tirz instead, so your story is hopeful!

Alright, my ARA-290 arrived. My avatar states 'no source discussion', so I'll keep the supplier to myself.

If you'd rather I didn't add this onto your thread, just say the word and I'll begin a separate one. Half of me thought it made sense to keep everything in one place, but I'm not fussed either way 😉

I received 30 vials, each 10mg, and the powder is unbuffered. After doing a decent amount of reading and research, here's the approach I'm taking with vial number one.....

To hold a neutral pH I'm using PBS (Phosphate Buffered Saline), plus 1% pure Benzyl Alcohol. The solution gets vortex mixed, then run through a 0.22 micron PES filter.

Reconstitution will use 1ml of that solution, meaning 0.4ml delivers my 4mg dose.

If there's a sting, so be it, that part doesn't bother me.

My plan is 4mg daily for 1 month, followed by 1 month off, then repeat.

Injection will be subcutaneous, either into my upper thigh or my abdomen.

A bit more background on me - I'm a 48 year old male with Type 2 Diabetes. The diagnosis came roughly 18-20 years ago, and for most of that time I left it completely uncontrolled (aside from the occasional 'fad'). Thanks to my own stupidity (and a previous life of absolute debauchery!), my condition is now really bad, as you can probably imagine!

Diabetic neuropathy has been creeping in over the last 5 years and is now terrible, to the point where it dominates my life. There's no stretch of time where it isn't somewhat at the front of my mind. My pain tolerance happens to be very high, so for me it's more annoying than painful, though the pain is definitely present!

Gabapentin has been part of my routine for a while and it dulls things a little, but because my doses are relatively high I only take it in the evenings. My commute to work is 50 motorway miles each way, and I don't want to feel compromised behind the wheel.

I also have Dihydrocodeine prescribed. It helps with some of my other pains, but the neuropathy itself doesn't really respond to it.

For the past few months I've been trying to sort out some of my health issues. That means Reta along with several other peptides, including Tesa & BPC/TB. On top of that I'm dieting, and these days I'm more or less alcohol free anyway.

Exercise is a struggle right now because the neuropathy is bad. There's also suspected arthritis in my knee (x-ray results pending), and very early signs that possible foot ulcers could develop - something I'm desperate to prevent from worsening (at the moment it's just uncomfortable calluses on the balls of both feet). Next month I have an initial consultation at the 'foot clinic' (pod).

So I'm caught in a vicious cycle/circle (one of my own making, I should add!). I want to walk now but struggle to, and if I had to pick the 2 main issues from my long list of shit, it would be my knee and my neuropathy - both have completely taken over my life.

I'm hopeful something can be done about the knee, even if it's just a cortisone injection to get me through for now. The BPC/TB is giving me some immediate relief, so I'm cycling it to see whether it can help at all over a longer period.

The Neuropathy is sheer misery. I have never seen any light at the end of the tunnel, and I've been told that once it's done, it's done. I understand that, and I'm managing my expectations about trying ARA-290, but I'm also desperately hopeful of any respite at all.

Thanks for reading, and sorry to bore you all. There's a whole stack of other shit that I'll save for other, more relevant threads.

I should add - Please don't read my post as if I'm in some pit of despair. Mentally I'm generally fine, and I fully accept all the dumb shit that I have done to myself. I live a normal life in that I work, I drive, I have hobbies, I own a house, and I have a partner of 18 years. I'm just [finally] at a point where I want to try and fix any bits and bobs that I can with a view to drastically improving my health situation.

For your ARA recon work, you really ought to get some kind of recognition. And going with unbuffered makes sense, because you can't count on most suppliers to buffer it correctly. As of right now, what's your A1C?

Haha, thanks.

The most recent reading came at the close of August: 59mmol/mol

Back at the start of August, it sat at 76!

Edit - First 4mg just pinned. No sting at all. And so the experiment starts!

Wishing you well. Are nerve-support supplements such as alpha lipoic acid part of your routine too? @lessthanhalf brought up an additional oral option, PEA (palmitoylethanolamide):

Thanks, I appreciate that!

Alpha Lipoic Acid is part of my routine, though I've only been on it roughly 1 month, so it's too soon to say.

Right now my vitamin/supplement stack is absurdly big, but this is the first moment I've truly felt a sense of urgency, like I need to act before it's too late. It's possible I've already caused permanent damage to my legs and feet, so I'm doing whatever I can to reverse what's reversible.

I hadn't heard of PEA before you brought it up, but thanks, I'll check it out 🙂

No problem at all that you posted in the thread.

Honestly, I think you would do just fine starting your own thread to track and share the journey!

Good to hear the recon went smoothly for you.

One thing: my assumption is that you had no COA for that batch.

Endotoxin and any dissolved particles will not be removed by that filter.

Appreciate it, friend. A COA does exist (or did), but it wasn't issued by Janoshik, which means it was likely produced internally and is almost always meaningless.

Following along and wishing you the best of luck. Stenosis in my neck and back gives me Neuropathy, plus a good deal of pain. At one point I was taking 1800mg of Gabapentin, 30mg of cyclobenzaprine and 3 Tramadol daily, and I know exactly what you mean about feeling compromised behind the wheel — I also work nightshift.

Anyway, I made the switch to Lyrica and driving is far more tolerable for me now. My daily dose is 450mg, and it outperforms the 1800mg of Gabapentin. Just putting it out there that a switch might give a bit of relief. Best of luck with the ARA-290.

@_220Progress Your reporting has been thorough, and I found it both useful and educational. Thanks for that.

Here's hoping the upcoming round works out well for the people in your study.

Two things I'd like to ask:

1. When you were still in the early phase of trialing the first peptide, did you feel any reluctance about adding 2 new components into the mix?

2. What method do you use to determine which substance produced the effect in each test subject?

Appreciate it once more!

Appreciate it, man.

In the past I was on Lyrica (here it's called Pregabalin, I think), at 450-600mg per day, and honestly that helped me a lot more than the Gabapentin did, but my doctor took me off it because of all the concern about overprescribing and people misusing it. For a back injury I was once given Tramadol, yet oddly it did nothing for me at all, which is how I ended up with DHC; that works well for my other assorted pains, but my neuropathy gets no relief from it.

I'll let you know how the ARA goes 🙂

No problem at all that you posted in the thread.

Honestly, starting your own thread to log and share the journey would probably work out well for you!

Good to hear the recon turned out fine for you.
