Well, I’ve gone and done something I honestly never imagined I would. I gave myself a 30mg tire injection. Please don’t ask how it happened, because I’m still trying to figure that out!! It’s been 17hrs now and my appetite isn’t really there, but I’m managing small bites, staying hydrated, and feeling tired (though low weather pressure always does that to me). I’ve previously gone up to 22.5mg but noticed no change, so I stayed at 15mg. I’ve been on it for 70 weeks. Has anyone else taken 30mg and been fine? I’ve got a ton to do and no time to be sick.

I still can’t work out where I messed up. I know I was tired when I reconstituted the vial and wasted one needle/meds, but when I pulled 2.5ml from the vial, there was nothing left!!

1 vial 60mg +1ml bac water makes 4 x 2.5ml 15mg each pin, so I took out 5ml in total — one 2.5 ml wasted, the next 2.5ml emptied the vial!!

That’s confusing, though it likely accounts for the mistake. And it would suggest you’ve now done this twice at whatever dose you were really taking.

If there are 60mg in 1ml, then .25ml equals 15mg

Decimals matter.

My mistake, I should have said .25ml

bah

that 15mg you take next is going to seem ridiculously mild after this

just make sure you're getting down at least 100g of protein, even if it's liquid, and you can still handle your normal daily tasks

have fun with the big hit!

1lbs of fat is out the door this week for free

keep up your 12k steps every day

treat it like a special week and get your training in and so on

At 17 hours in, the effects are likely close to their strongest point. My guess is that after roughly another 36 hours, you'll start coming off that high point. It gives me some reassurance that you'd already handled 22.5 without problems. Please keep sharing how things go. I tend to worry about others in situations like this until I know they're okay🙂

It’s rough that you’re dealing with this. Honestly, I’m a bit shocked that the forum doesn’t see more overdose stories. Wishing you a speedy recovery! Stay strong.

22.5mg is a strange amount. (Though not any stranger than the 19.5mg I use.) What led you to @ 22.5mg when you gave it a try? And for what length of time? Nice work, if 15mg can produce results for you!

Please update us every 12 hours on how you're doing. Track your appetite and bm. There are reports that overdoses have risen 1100%. What if you end up with a superpower? It might turn out to be a good thing too.

A 2.5mg step, or 50% beyond 15mg, is what I'm thinking of.

Yeah, at the 15mg mark, an overfill really isn't something to take lightly. 👍

Honestly, a percentage is just a percentage. Typical overages aren't something I worry about.

Oh man, I really hope you’re alright! Please make sure you’re getting plenty of water, and keep us posted on how things are going! Wishing you the best 🤧

Best of luck — the fact that you took 30mg while your body was accustomed to 15mg means this could have gone far worse had it been a smaller amount like 2.5mg. Dose-response for both the wanted and unwanted effects isn't exactly a straight line, so at that level you're probably in the zone where returns start flattening out, since receptor binding is already near its ceiling and piling on more barely moves the needle. With any luck you'll just have 2 or so days of appetite being gone plus mild queasiness, but should vomiting start, keep a very close eye on how much you're drinking — dehydration under those circumstances is the thing that turns into something serious.

Credit to you for sharing this, because the more often this kind of thing gets seen, perhaps the more cautious people will be — mix-ups with dosing happen so easily, even for someone who knows exactly what they're doing. With most injectable medicines, safety is built into the design through how many doses come per vial and similar measures, instead of having a single vial hold 2 to 10 x the standard amount; the authorized pens are deliberately fairly intricate precisely to cut down on this sort of event.

So it’s been 34 hrs since I took too much. Yesterday I mostly sat around and didn’t do much, and my bowels are okay. I’m drinking plenty and eating only a little; I just have that feeling of not wanting to do anything, so that’s exactly what I’ve been doing. But I have things to get done today. It’s 7am here in the UK and I don’t feel like eating at all, though I am thirsty.

The only explanation I can come up with is that when I was mixing my 60mg vial, I only drew 05ml into the needle rather than 1ml — but I don’t believe that’s what I did. Still, it’s the only answer I’ve got. I’m going to make absolutely sure this never happens again. Losing a whole day to doing nothing at my age (79) feels catastrophic to me. Who knows how many days I’ve got left, lol.

Appreciate you letting us know. Relieved to hear things are going to work out fine.

Absolutely with you on that. Near misses teach us, and that's how everyone gets better.

So many occasions I've owned up to an error as a lesson on a forum or FB group, only to get hammered for it (I mess up plenty!) — it's just depressing.

Don't stop the updates, OP!
