I dropped ~60lbs. on trz while never exceeding 5mg/week, and it took roughly 6.5 months. My doctor called me a 'super responder' and instructed me (and noted in my chart) to quit tirzepitide right away and put back on no less than 10 lbs. At 5'6" and 135 lbs, I was hoping to shed another 5 pounds, but given my age he's concerned about muscle and bone loss - I completely get it, yet I'm extremely physically active (I use the Dr. Vonda Wright FACE framework) and I'm in the best shape I've been in since I ran track in hs. A recent dexa scan showed sarcopenia, but nothing out of the ordinary for my age. My worry is regaining weight, and ever since I stopped the trz, all the inflammation I had before trz has returned (wrists, hands, hips, neck stiffness and inflammation). I want to look into ways to keep my weight stable if it starts climbing, look into HRT (am I too old to start?), and anything to do with muscle and bone loss. And if anybody has found the fountain of youth - I'd like to look into that as well............
I'd love to hear about the successes and challenges others have had.
