Here's yet another piece courtesy of the drug company that's no longer able to charge you 2500% over cost.

Plenty of junk reporting has circulated, but to me this particular piece comes across as reasonably balanced. It works well as a business story. Producing peptides carries better margins and lower risk than Fentanyl, so firms are making the switch. That's one more point for peptides.

Has anybody come across peptides that actually contain fentanyl, from a legitimate vendor? The idea frightens me, yet I've never encountered it anywhere except vague media claims.

Nope. Over the last 48 months, baby formula has killed more people in the US than any peptide — or even dollar-tree vitamins (which, by the way, also come from China).

This is not a scenario that would most likely occur. The precursors come from China. Fentanyl is not what they produce.
