Which peptide should a beginner try first?

My reading has told me that BPC-157, TB-500 and KPV are all peptides that may help with pain. As a newbie, I am unsure which to try first. I have a few different problems going on.

Chronic pain is my daily reality. There are a few disc bulges and small tears in my c-spine, and I have been going through testing for suspected MS. On top of all that, a vehicle hit me this past January while I was on foot. 🙃 which, obviously, aggravated my neck issues and new back pain.

If bad luck were gold, I would be rich. lol. Any experiences or recommendations would be very much appreciated!!

Get KLOW and take all of them at once. Yes, it is a little expensive, but it is still cheaper than buying the 4 components separately.

The same idea had occurred to me.. but I was put off by the risk of a bad reaction.

I happened to be reading about ARA-290 just now, and it looks like it could be a good fit for you. Not something I have tried myself, but a few sources I have seen rate it highly for chronic pain and fatigue.

That one is new to me. Thank you! I will go and read up on it!

For a first timer, I would not recommend it. You could react badly, or get side effects, from one of them and have no way to tell which one did it. And the dosing differs between them all.

Yeah, blends are a no. Yours especially. Get the MS sorted out first. Next, look into how severe the cervical herniation is. Nerve impingement needs treatment. A torsion machine is a risk not worth taking. After that you have Cartalax and GHK.

Keen to know how you get on with it, should you give it a go.

Speaking as someone whose bulging discs ruptured and who then had surgery to repair and fuse the cervical spine... peptides can only do so much about that. Sorry you are having to deal with it, no fun at all.

All the same, some peptides might take the edge off the inflammation and bring you a bit of relief. Residual issues from my own spine are with me, and BPC157 and TB500 do appear to help (I run an individual KLOW stack rather than a blend; if you go that way, add one at a time and give each pep time, so you can gauge your reaction).

cartalax is on my list to try before long as well. Either way, structural damage behaves nothing like soft tissue injury... I hope relief comes your way.

Consider prednisone. It sorts out my back, my sciatica and the tingling in my fingers from a neck disc, at least for a while.... it treats the inflammation and the irritated nerves, so the pain resolves rather than being masked. Read up on it first, you can't stay on it indefinitely, it pushes blood sugar up and there is a protocol to follow.

Where osteoarthritis and a degree of systemic inflammation are involved, a family member of mine has just been started on prednisone for a month, beginning at 15 mg and tapering down to 2.5 mg. A rheumatologist prescribed it.

it pushes glucose up and works toward osteoporosis (not sure how that is spelled) but it is the only thing that has worked for me... an anti inflammatory the peptides can't match imo....

The side effect list for prednisone is a very long one, yet medicine still reaches for it constantly because its anti inflammatory action is so effective across a huge range of problems, asthma to autoimmune disorders among them. Those adverse effects are a serious matter though: your own cortisol production stops, and coming off it suddenly after a stretch on it can make you very unwell, or even kill you. So it is absolutely not something to self treat; using it means clinical judgement about where the benefits outweigh the costs, a Doctor for short courses and a specialist for long ones.

For GLP drugs there is an enormous body of preclinical evidence that they cut both inflammation and pain, and far less human trial evidence - though some exists - that they can do the same in people. Among the peptides a typical vendor lists , this is probably the one with the strongest human trial evidence of helping chronic pain or inflammation.

Over the long term, prednisolone wrecks your bones. Lupus is what I have, and long term use is something I refuse. Short 3 week tapers I am happy with.

Any form of prednisone/cortisone is off the table as far as I am concerned. Here, setting the MS aside, my focus would be debriding the disc, or outright removing and fusing it if that is what it takes. Peptides, and even stem cell therapy, come after that

That is a lot to carry - sorry you are going through all this. IMO, I would begin with KPV. It is cheap, it has a wonderfully broad impact across the body, and it is a very durable peptide. SQ works, so does oral, and I believe they even make a suppository version aimed at IBS and so on (don't hold me to that, I think I read it in a Pubmed paper somewhere).

My own GHK-cu and KPV were being mixed at home, which made for a great daily pin, and I added a second KPV pin in the AM, so the daily total came to 4 mg GHK-cu and 1 mg KPV. KPV has run out and I still haven't got around to reordering after my last Tirz and Reta buying spree, though I need to.

Sadly, my GP dislikes "referring out", and has let things slip on more than one occasion.

Testing for MS has dragged on and been frustrating. My next recall MRI falls in August. Last time around, he "forgot" to order a repeat of my cspine, so what the damage looks like now is anyone's guess, the last one having been done in 2024. X-rays, on the other hand, he is always happy to send me for, and they show nothing, of course 🙃. Family doctors are in desperately short supply here, so for now I am stuck with him.

Thank you all for the suggestions! Every response is much appreciated. There is some research in my future!

❤️❤️❤️

ARA genuinely is GREAT, though a couple of things are worth keeping in mind. Most ARA vials come as 10mg, or 16mg. The usual dose is 4mg and any relief can take 3-4 weeks to show up. You'll be getting through a vial every 4 days (on 16mg vials) and the "protocol" says to use it for only 30 days. Feeling any relief can get expensive.

KPV! And KPV. Have I said KPV yet? 😀

And that's the trouble with public healthcare, Canada and the UK's NHS included. Your body isn't yours to own. Medical tourism is something I would take very seriously.
