What’s your "sweet spot" for fluid volume per injection?

How much liquid do you typically target for every injection, and where does your personal "sweet spot" fall?

Right now I'm dosing at 0.25 mL each time. That said, I keep wondering whether going with a more diluted mix — meaning a lower concentration paired with a bigger fluid amount — brings anything useful such as improved uptake, or whether biology-wise it truly changes nothing.

Looking at the other side of it: when there's more fluid sitting under the skin, is that simply creating needless tension or irritation, or would you rather have a slightly larger amount to push in? What's your thinking when weighing concentration against the overall fluid volume for each pin?

My usual target is 0.2-0.3ml, since I split doses with kwikpens that deliver 0.6ml for a full dose. If you're after a bigger volume, moving up to that range makes sense, though some go higher—it comes down to what works for you, and trial is the only way to find out. With more liquid, bruising or a lump becomes more probable. That said, it resolves as the peptide gets absorbed. A lot of folks inject bigger amounts, especially for things like ghk-cu.

With tirz, my injections have ranged between 0.22mL and 0.65mL. A smaller volume—under 0.4mL—is what I prefer, simply because handling a syringe feels easier to me at that size. Once I begin reconstituting, my plan is to keep the volume on the low side, around 0.15-20mL, so that my 30 unit/0.3mL syringes get used up and/or I need as few pen cartridges as possible.

This is the one peptide I don’t use a pen for, mainly because I’m still going through my compounded stash, and since no reconstitution is needed, it can remain in its vial.

I like keeping it below .3ml — that’s the syringe size I have the most of, and at that amount the volume doesn’t bother me at all comfort-wise.

Even so, I also do a 2ml SQ shot every week, and that one is just as unremarkable when it comes to comfort.

My goal is consistently 10 units for every mg.

Hearing that takes a weight off my mind — I’ve got several 10 unit pins sitting around and had assumed that was on the low side, so it’s good to find out otherwise!

In case that offers any reassurance (😂).... for Sema, the amount I take is .05ml/5 units.

Weirdly enough, that actually helps me feel better! 🤣

My goal is consistently 10 units for every mg.

That approach certainly simplifies the calculations, but I'm curious—what dosage are you taking right now?

Suppose someone escalates to bigger doses, say 10 mg or 15 mg. At the 10 units/mg ratio, they'd be injecting 1.0 mL to 1.5 mL. When that happens, do you divide it between 2 injection sites, or do you simply inject the entire 1.0–1.5 mL all at once?

Unless something else was going on, I wouldn’t go with that concentration... as for me, 2ml goes in each week as 1 SQ shot, and it’s no big deal.

it varies by compound for me.

Right now t30 is dosed at 30mg/1ml

filling 1ml is simple, then pulling 1/2 gives a 15mg dose.

With Gluta I ran 1ml shots, a bit intense

600mg/1ml

hcg 250iu/.25ml I reconstitute at 5000iu/5ml to keep the math straightforward

Yep, I completely misread that earlier—I was thinking it meant 1 mg for every 0.1 mL/10 units. Now it clicks, appreciate you setting me straight!

I’m on quite a few peptides, so my approach is to water down the majority of them until the amount I need lands at 10 units. That way I can pull multiple syringes in one sitting without keeping track of different doses—everything is just 10 units. A handful of compounds, nad+ included, can’t be handled this way.
