When I was a gym-rat and running junkie, I felt that pre-workout Energy Drinks were a total bonus! I used them sparingly like a treasure so that my body wouldn't adjust to the jolt feel. I stopped. Now, Im thinking about hopping on the energy drinks again. C-4, Monster, Ghost... there are so many others! Im taking it this time not to go one more rep or one more mile, but just to get through a few hours of work without feeling so tired from the calorie deficit and Reta. Guidance?

Fatigue is real.

However ensure that your nutrition is as good as it can be, sleep, stress management and exercise are robust.

Once those are in check, consider reviewing your doses. Then if no luck, dose up on caffeine 😂

But, seriously no supplements or caffeine will fix the underlying issue.

I used the Celsius powder packs.....these were my saving grace. I know some folks try electrolytes for fatigue and that works for them, or making sure you have the appropriate amount of calories in the day but that never worked for me. The fatigue went away eventually, but I LIVED on energy drinks for the first few months. The Alani Lime Slush....Red Bull White Peach Sugar Free, I LOVE the Ghost Welchs Grape...

You can get cleaner energy drinks that aren't just about lots of carbs/sugar and massive caffeine hits. Sneak is relatively good, an energy BCAA powder drink with some energy boosted components, nothing like the effect of Monster but its also no where near as unhealthy.

I’ve survived much of my life on caffeine pills and energy drinks, so I understand the temptation. But I found them counterproductive on GLP-1s.

They may temporarily mask the fatigue, but they don’t fix the cause, and the crash can feel much worse on reta. I seemed to metabolize caffeine differently on reta, and it affected my sleep even more than pre-reta. I’d prioritize food, fluids, electrolytes and sleep instead. I use energy drinks very sparingly now, if at all. I’m currently using MOTS-c and 5A1 to help with fatigue instead.

Came to say this. Learned in grad school that water was a million times better at addressing fatigue than soda/energy drinks/coffee for those all important overnight paper writing sessions.

Of course, I also smoked. A lot 😂🤷

Water water water. I keep tubes of zipfizz or liquid IV + Energy on hand for the days I'm really dragging, but water + movement is the best way.

the irony is that years ago I did keto and my fruits/vegetables were close to zero, yet, I was brimming with energy while losing weight. I'm much more watchful of "balanced" eating right now and the fatigue is rather poopy.

Is it only available in the UK? I’ve never heard of Sneak - interesting…

i use to do energy drink reviews on tiktok, would get alot of free samples and get to try all kinds of drinks before the little start up companies inevitably failed. with that said ive recently made the full switch to the kirkland energy drinks. 24ct for $17 is just too good to pass up. only basic flavors right now but not spending $2-$4 each at a gas station, or not having to jump on sales and get like 4 cases to get a good deal is worth it. pretty sure ive heard if they do well enough they will start making other flavors too so i wanna see that

Right now, Liquid IV or Gatorade Free till my DR appointment next week. Someone gave a link to another with 1,000mg sodium like Liquid IV. My sodium has been low, so I'm sure this will be fine.

I got a container of electrolyte powder and that with water has helped a lot more than energy drinks. Adding adrenal fatigue on top of dehydration is meh

I don't know about running and all that but a Mojito works for me. 😆

I don't want to generalize, but never really had fatigue from GLPs. I think its mostly too large of a calorie deficit and possible dehydration as the natural hunger and thirst ques are too blunted.

Now cagri, absolutely knocked me on my ass, fatigue wise.

But for suggestions, C4 has packets that are far more economical than cans. Big fan of frozen bombsickle and cosmic rainbow.
