What tipped the scale for you in your decision to stack your GLP with another or add in an amylin?

How much Cag did you add in, any sides?

I did 0.25mg first week. 2nd week 0.375mg. No side effects at these low doses so far. I do notice increase in appetite suppression at about 48 hours after dosing. I'm taking it 3 days after my tirz dose, so I know the peak in appetite suppression isn't from the tirz.

I had originally been maintaining on 12mg of reta but after starting a steroid cycle I found that this became untenable and I was having a lot of days where my calorie intake was grossly in excess of my target. I was putting on weight that I didn’t want to, in fact I wanted to slowly lower my weight but that wasn’t happening. I increased my reta dose to 24mg. This was successful in that it balanced out the steroids enough that I could maintain my weight, but slow weight loss was still unmanageable despite my best efforts. After a couple months of that (it wasn’t bad, just not ideal) I lowered my reta dose back to 12mg and threw in an ancillary that I thought would help. This has been more successful so far and I’ve been able to cut my weight since making that change.

Reta 2.5mg twice a week for a few months now. Food noise was gone from the start and I lost 40 lbs quickly. Food noise has been slowly returning lately though but thankfully just for protein-rich foods - but I worry the return of hunger pangs may be a slipperty slope back into chocolate, chips, fries, cookies and ice cream. As a result, some tirz is on the way so I'll slip that slowly and quietly into the protocol to see how that inpacts cravings. I'm also several weeks (10 weeks today) into 2.0 mgs of Tesa on a daily basis hoping that would speed up the disappearance of visceral fat but the results have not been dramatic.

Can we actually see visceral fat? I was under the impression it's hidden inside us, hugging our organs but not visible, like a pouchy belly?

Hi everyone 🙂

I am at a point now where I have to make a decision here soon. There are plenty of good options for me, but I want to hear why you chose the route you chose.

For those of you who stayed on a non-max dose of your GLP-1 and added in another GLP or Amylin, instead of titrating up, can you tell me why? What factors did you consider before you decided?

(I did search the forum, if there is already a post about this, I am sorry 😢)

My "choice" is mostly irrational. I rely on feels -- intuition rather than reason.

I've been on a low dose of tirz (1 - 1.5) since December. When I hit a plateau, I don't know why but I added reta (slowly) instead of increasing the tirz. It helped.

Some weeks I haven't taken any tirz. Today I took 2mg tirz + 2.5mg reta (all that was left in the vial). This was about 19 days since my last shot.

I'm not dropping weight these days, probably bc I'm not eating enough. After a lifetime of trying to eat less, I seem to be constitutionally unable to eat now unless I have an appetite. It's a problem : /

I added 2mg/day Tesamorelin to 4-5mg/wk Retatrutide for belly reduction. Worked well. I've finished up all my Tesa and unless the current Reta dose of 6mg/wk can't keep the belly down, I'm done with it.

My case may be unique due to high dose prednisone and Hydrocortisone for disease management. Pred and Hydro (a similar corticosteroid) are well known to directly cause weight gain, large belly and moon face, in much the same way as Addison's disease does.

Did you have any side effects from combing those two ?

No we cant see it lol. It is deep inside hugging the organs and causing problems like an ex that wont go away. Your subcutaneous fat is what you can grab and pinch lol

I have an Amazon scale to weigh in daily and produce lots of graphs that I review and think about daily on my phone. I'm about 30 pounds away from my goal weight and still losing. According to the scale graphs, my visceral fat is in the normal range. Subcutaneous fat, I have some work to do there.

In my own mind, I put this down to my Reta 4mg weekly shot. I have zero facts to back my opinion up but that's what I believe.

none so far...if any thing RHR and BP were a skoosh lower than normal. The only added feels were a little more burping and a bit of throat 'feel', almost like acid reflux, but no acid reflux if that makes sense...

The stuff is weird. I did my HR and BP this morning. HR was 73, but will likely get to 80 when I get doing stuff, BP was 128/78.

Still WNL though, I don’t wanna use all my leverage tools so early on, but I’m nervous to get to my max dose of Tirz too soon too! 🤣

Yep, it can be quite visible depending on how much we're carrying around. Subcutaneous fat is the stuff we can pinch betweeen our fingers on the belly, love handles, butt, etc. Visceral fat is that hard protruding belly in those of us who have too much, although some people can aappear slim but still have visceral fat. My personal experience has been that the subq stuff went quickly. leaving behind sagging skin, but I still have that damn belly. My smart scale tells me I still have an uncceptable amount of visceral fat... while my AI buddy, Copilot, tells me not to rely on a smart scale cuz it's not actually smart enough to be able to accurately determine how much visceral fat I have. So all I have for evidence of unnacceptable level of visceral fat is that reflection in the mirror!
