What is everyone eating and how can I keep my protien up and low carbs when I literally don’t feel like eating anything ?

The thought of high protien food is literally making me gag. I hate yoghurts so can’t force them down. I’m trying to keep carbs and sugar to a minimum so ready made shakes etc are off the cards. I’m on 4mg, wondering if I should go lower and see if I can manage anything. Lucky if I’ve even hit 600 cals the past few days and don’t want to feel shitty and tired. Help pls

If you can't eat, your dose is too high.

I don't minimize carbs, they're delicious.

I drink 2-6 Oikos Protein Shakes each day which give me 30g protein, 5g fiber, 4g fat, 9g carbs per, 180 calories.

Another "new" thing for me is chicken burrito, 170g fajita chicken, 56g cheese, and a regular large flour tortilla. 60g of protein, 6xx calories, good flavor.

How much Reta are you taking? (Just saw 4mg maybe try lower)

Chicken breast, eggs, tuna, whey protein, low sugar protein bars, salmon, other fish, extra lean ground beef, Greek yogurt.

I get virtually all of my protein from those sources. I limit myself to one protein bar but I get 60-70 grams from whey protein shake with Greek yogurt in it too.

Food. Lots of protein as mention, chicken, steaks, pork and fish. Lots of fresh steamed veggies and I've upped the carbs now that I hit my weight goal.

There's a good chance that this effect will be temporary for you and in the coming weeks you'll find it easier to eat. I wouldn't sweat it too much starting out, but agree with wound that varying your dosing over time could be a more productive strategy than trying to come up with and sort through a new collection of foods.

It's probably more useful to think of "sufficient protein" (to the extent it matters) as more of a long-term goal than something to concern yourself with in the first couple weeks, as you're getting acclimated to treatment in general.

Lots of protein shake and yogurt because I m sick of chicken breast. I add oat brans to my protein shake.

Sometimes poke bowl.

Sometimes sushi when I feel generous.

Some snack cakes or fruit juice before going to the gym.

Do not skip the protein, especially if you're in a caloric deficit. You WILL lose muscle mass as youre body starts to cannibalise your muscles for energy to fuel your body!

Chicken, steak, boiled eggs, protein yoghurt, cottage cheese, protein shakes (not diet protein, you need the calories, carbs, sugars) are all good for protein intake.

Complex, gentle carbs are your friend on reta too for energy - oats, porridge, brown rice, sweet potato for example.

I am at maintenance right now and aim for 2000 calories a day and to be honest I still struggle. I do have an appetite but eating the 2000 is a task at time however, I ensure I have protein in every meal or snack.

If you can't eat, your dose is too high.

For Bfast I had egg bites, sauerkraut and a carb balance tortilla! 295 cals, 32g protein, and 18g of FIBERRRRR! For lunch chicken sausage, cottage cheese and a bunch of raw/pickled veggies and an apple for the pectin, for din I'll have some rice and broccoli with red meat (iron for the win) I eat to help my gut and give my body the things it needs.

How long have you been on 4mg? Im on 4mg for like 8 weeks(I started at 2mg) I eat 1500-1700cal per day. I try to eat a variety of foods chicken, ground beef, lean steak, Greek yogurt, lentils are like cheat code. But I lean toward shrimp alot mexican ceviche or cocktail it's delicious high in protein and low calorie. Also you can have protein shakes/meal replacements they are super high in protein low carb no sugar decent on calorie too I drink one that is 50g protein and 400cal. If you cant eat at least 1000cal a day youre dose is definitely too high.

• Ribeye, arugula w/ lemon + olive oil

• 80/20 ground beef w/ high fat tzatziki

• Roast chicken + potatoes w/ lemon + olive oil

• Homemade bone broth w/ leftover meat, konjac, lemon, olive oil, fresh basil + rosemary

• Coffee w/ cream + stevia

• Salt. SO much Diamond kosher salt. Lg boxes of it.

Those are the only meals I eat. Works like a charm. Sated, athletic, and energized. No thought, minimal prep.

One day meat, next day leftover soup, on repeat.

Ultra Filtered Milk Products which includes UF Milk plain, vanilla and/or chocolate. UF Shakes. Also cottage cheese flavored at home. I find most preflavored yogurt flavors are not what I like so I get raw yogurt and flavor it at home. There are many dairy protein sources out there. Don't forget kefir.

I eat 150g of protein minimum a day. Typically have medium boiled eggs for breakfast and a protein shake. Lunch is typically chicken or fish and rice and dinner is usually a meat and a starch and some veggies. Whatever the wife cooks or is on sale that week at the market. For snacks im eating cashews and peanuts and protein bars and shakes. I am consuming right around 2000 calories a day and working out 3 times a week and feeling great. Taking 2mg of reta on Sundays and 2.5 mg of Tirz on wedensdays. Loosing 2 to 3 lbs every week.

Yeah, like it was mentioned earlier, you don't want to cut the carbs, specially if you're having trouble getting calories in. Here's my meal plan:

Breakfast:

2 eggs either hard-boiled or scrambled.

1 slice of "everything" sourdough with some cottage cheese on it and a sprinkle of chives.

Lunch:

I usually meal prep. Bought a large back of frozen chicken breast from Costco and get creative every week. This week I did.

Blackened chicken tenders with high protein dipping sauce (blended Greek yogurt with cottage cheese and a bunch of spices).

And a side of seasoned roasted potatoes.

Dinner:

Protein shake with a sweet snack. (Typically dark chocolate almonds).

All those comes to about 1200-1400 calories with 140 ish grams of protein and 90grams of carbs. 28grams of fat.

Good luck!

We should start a recipes thread!!!
