What do/don't you want to see from vendors?

There appears to be a split between China and the west when it comes to business and cultural norms. Both sides make assumptions, and that doesn't necessarily produce the best outcome for anyone. Which vendor habits would you like to see them start or stop?

It feels like they believe we're after young female sales reps who call us dear and fire off goofy emojis. They use fake profile pictures and western-sounding names such as Kelly, Mia or whatever to win us over, but I think the majority of us couldn't care less.

Haggling over price is always possible, though I'm not sure how many of you actually do it. In the west, bargaining isn't really the norm, particularly because people worry about upsetting the vendor.

Should they stop pretending they manufacture peptides? Most, if not all, are simply distributors.

It would be great if they ran testing on their own rather than leaving it to customers. Batch numbers should be included too. A handful of vendors do their own testing and charge the same, but even if they charged more, I'm confident most of us would gladly pay extra.

Perhaps we could put together a list of changes, vote on them, and then tell vendors what matters to us, so we can see who wants to meet our requests and maybe boost their market share significantly.

When it comes to vendors I've worked with, the majority run their own preliminary testing, and a few will even pay for a follow-up randomized test using kits drawn from the batch currently being sold. There are multiple explanations for why the community still wants independent testing done, but off the top of my head, these 2 stand out as the main ones.

1. Results from vendor testing can turn out to be inaccurate. A vendor I bought from previously had a portion of their reta show up as tirz when a third party tested it. They've since published an explanation and are arranging a sponsored test with volunteers to verify it a third time, but this kind of thing does happen. On top of that, vendor COAs may be altered or completely fabricated.

2. Tests paid for by a vendor bring in bias and ulterior motives. Even when the vendor hands off the testing process to someone in the community, there could be a secret deal with that person to hold back particular results, submit only specific vials, and so on and so forth.

What’s really going on here looks like a clash of cultures rather than an issue with any particular seller.

Things people are complaining about — warm phrasing, emoji use, haggling, deals built on relationships — are simply how business is done in many places outside the US. Calling that a “charade” misses the point; it just isn’t the Western transactional approach.

We’re operating in a grey market. Wanting cheap prices alongside Western-style openness, testing done in-house, batch records, and complete disclosure means ignoring the compromises that let grey markets exist at all.

Fundamentally, joining a grey market is our own choice, yet we expect sellers to carry every risk, expense, and legal burden just so we can feel "more comfortable". Grey markets don’t operate that way.

Anyone who wants standardized testing, paperwork, and someone to hold accountable can find it — that’s regulated healthcare, and it comes with a higher price. Access and cost are what grey markets offer, not a sense of entitlement.

A lot of these "companies" that claim to have "warehouses" are, in reality, just somebody's bedroom in china—a person whose English is good enough to peddle this or that. That's the Chinese vendors. Meanwhile, plenty of American vendors are clearly running this as a side hustle, mostly because they're lurking in reddit threads like fleas on a dog.

Kelly told me she loves me, so you’re mistaken😢 Are you implying that isn’t the case?!

When it comes to vendors, I'd like to see PayPal accepted, specifically through Goods and Services.
World peace is on my wish list.

A time machine too.

Plus, folks need to get it through their heads that when a vendor takes PayPal — goods & services or any other way — that's a bug, not a feature.

Is this true for every payment method besides crypto or Ali Baba?

Vendors should send their products for third-party lab testing in batches, the way Janoshek does. Paying a little extra for a peptide that I'm confident is genuine doesn't bother me. As it stands, I can either purchase a kit for about 200.00, then pay 300.00 out of pocket for testing, sacrifice a vial, and sit around waiting for results. An additional 10-20 dollars per kit is absolutely worth it. It cuts out time, money, and the frustration of chasing a refund for bunk product that I had to test on my own dime. Every vendor ought to operate this way and raise prices slightly, and that's fair. Products from domestic warehouses tend to run higher too, but once again, the fast delivery and near-zero risk make it worthwhile.

Having Alibaba involved would be a welcome development.

Old dog here, new tricks are out. Paypal works for me though.

Alright, so sales is my line of work. My dad was in it too. He always said customers purchase from those they feel good about and have faith in. That makes appearance matter. And how you carry yourself factors into doing well. So on one side, they put up a nice-looking picture, appealing and neatly presented. On the other side, we don't fully believe that's the actual person. Still, we'd prefer to think so. Overall, I'd say it's a smart approach.

Which one would you probably purchase from?

Exactly. Off-the-books sourcing paired with big-brand-style protections that genuinely hold up? Might as well throw in unicorns😉

To me, the first pic gives off more of a "Linda from China" vibe than the second one does?

The guy in the first photo? He's either peddling peptides brewed in a bathtub or after your kidney for a snack.

As for the girl in the second photo—we assume she's here to sell us peptides, but really the other guy dispatched her to collect our kidneys so he can chow down.
