For my part, I'd like to have suits tailored for me once more. I want to stroll through Tokyo feeling confident and looking sharp, the way I did before. These days I don't even need suits, but I really miss looking great.

Another thing: I'd like to get a bicycle and start riding again. Cycling used to be a passion of mine. Back when I was younger and living in Osaka, I did 200km a week. I'm in a different place now, and biking is quite popular around here. Getting back into it would mean a lot to me.

Oh, and I want to fly trans-pacific in economy class. If I didn't have to shell out for a business class seat, I could visit family twice a year rather than once. I expect that'll be possible next summer. I've never in my life wanted to fly economy, but wow, do I want to now!

That's my list. How about the rest of you? What are you looking forward to as the weight continues to come off?

Knees hurting less and runs feeling easier.

Being able to look in the mirror without thinking "damn you look like shit".

Running isn't something I see in my future — my knees have endured too much wear from carrying extra weight across the years. Still, that remark about the mirror resonates with me. I'd like to have a physique I can feel proud of once more.

For me it's about feeling better all around — my knees and feet hurt less, which lets me move more. On top of that, I'd like to feel happier with how I look. Improving my appearance and being able to do more both give me a big mental lift. I'm not at my goal yet, but at least I'm seeing results and getting stronger along the way.

Love this! Getting back on a bike and enjoying something you used to love must be a great feeling to look forward to.

As for me, it's about keeping up with the kids for longer stretches instead of pausing every five minutes or wheezing like I'm at my limit 😂 Before I accepted where my weight was at, I'd keep attempting the activities I used to manage, only to find out I simply couldn't do them anymore.

It's those small everyday things you don't think twice about that make the weight loss so worth it. 😊

My aim was simply to feel good wearing blue jeans!

No plumbers crack.. nothing pressing down on my stomach, just comfy classic 501s

Honestly, I'm not really in a position where I have to drop more, but I'd enjoy getting some new shirts. I used to wear an XL and now I'm in a medium. I picked up 2 just to see how they'd work, and they fit really well. Next step is to firm things up and build some muscle. My waist went from 38" down to 34", and it might be even smaller at this point. I've got a few pairs of 34 jeans that were fine the last time I put them on.

This 🥰 and

I want to be able to see a photo of myself and actually recognize the person in it. I just want to feel at ease in my imperfect body — simply feeling like myself.

Since beginning this round of weight loss I've shed 46 lbs, and 25 lbs of that has come off since I started reta. So far my husband is the only person who has said anything. My clothes haven't changed, they just fit more loosely now. What I'm eager for is moving around more easily and living without pain. Last fall we spent a month traveling through Spain and Portugal, and the weight and pain made it miserable.

I'm in the same spot — 43 lbs down. Nobody has picked up on it apart from the One who sees me out of the clothes I usually wear. I don't see it either, but I truly sense it in how my clothes sit and in the way I move.

Barely more than a month on the sauce, and my work pants already fit the way they did 3 years ago — plus I no longer have to hold my breath when I bend down to put my shoes on.

A friend and I were going through photos of us from a couple years back, and she called the guy in them “skinny Bruce” 🥲 She's from another country and definitely didn't mean anything by it, but it still echoes in my head from time to time as one of my primary motivators lol. My plan is to get back to that composition while adding some muscle.

For me, nobody said anything here until I reached 75 pounds. Their remarks (every one of them positive) caught me so off guard that I had no idea how to respond. 😅 Keep going!

I've dropped close to 60lbs, and honestly, hardly anyone has said a word about it. I can't tell whether people are just being courteous and steering clear of weight comments, or whether the difference genuinely isn't obvious yet. I assumed that by this point at least one person would have mentioned something, but that hasn't happened. It's fine, though. I'm feeling better, and I'm really enjoying the changes.

I'm just hoping to get fit enough that I can chase after men in the nursing home once that time arrives. 🤣

They've likely seen the change, but they're probably choosing to be polite about it. These days the guidance against commenting on anyone else's body — whether positively or negatively — is quite well established.

Over here in Asia, remarks like that are just part of life. Hearing "Have you gained weight?", "You got bigger!" or even "Have you gained more weight??" wouldn't raise many eyebrows. Being blunt about weight is normal, since in much of Asia being fat genuinely isn't accepted. That's just how things are, and I made my peace with it a long time ago.

Getting back to hiking without worrying I've taken on more than I can handle....and honestly cringing hard at old photos from when I was heavier — the picture I had of myself in my head was nowhere near what those photos actually showed..... 😳 😳

Last month I ended up in a few photos and what a relief!.....They lined up much more closely with how I see myself on the inside...........and those photos from last month were taken 10 pounds ago too....👍🙂🙂

Photos really do tell the truth — I had no idea how much weight I'd put on until I saw myself in pictures. It's strange that a photo can show so much more than a mirror ever does.

I'm hoping to feel more at ease in my own skin, and I'd love for my rings to fit me once more.
For 7 years I've been wearing an Oura ring. It used to be extremely snug on my ring finger when I was at my heaviest. These days it sits loosely on my middle finger.

Last week's blood test came back with a missed goal. My aim was to get HbA1c under 5.0. I fell short — I'm sitting at 5.0. Back when I began Tirz 2 years ago, I was at 5.7 (right at the start of prediabetes). As a new goal, I plan to lose 10 more pounds and see what effect that has. For more than a year now I've been stalled/maintaining at 215lbs.
