BP was 145 over 85, now 115 over 75.
HbA1c went 5.9 to 5.0.
Exactly, right? Mine used to run low all the time, then it climbed as I put on pounds... now it's right back where yours is....On top of that, the doctor had me on statins, so, you know, whatever. Didn't like them at all, but after losing weight and seriously cleaning up how I eat, I stopped taking them over a month ago....I'll tell the doctor at my next appointment 👍 A win!...
What pushed me to finally begin Tirzepatide was that conversation with my physician. I'd already done a bit of reading by myself. But the moment the doctor suggested I go on a statin plus a betablocker, likely for the rest of my life, I headed home and located a compound telemedicine provider so I could get some delivered. A year and a half afterward, here I am.
This is great!!! Making this choice was the smartest thing I've ever done!!

At work, I’m now using medium gloves instead of the XL ones I normally wore.
Absolutely, the hands thing! It didn't take long before I realized my inflammation had gone down, and now my wedding rings are a much more comfortable fit!

Being able to look down and actually see my genitals once more. Though honestly, nobody would be lining up for that view. 🤣

Being able to weave through a crowd and past obstacles without any effort.

Being able to lean down and pick something up off the ground without getting completely winded.

All strong examples, everyone. For me, I'd say it's being able to wear my old clothes again after I'd been stuck with the 4 2X shirts and T-shirts I'd bought. I'm sure there are other things too.

Adding after the fact: my cholesterol and another have moved into mid range. Back in February my doctor was worried about that.
It’s wild that buying clothes in smaller sizes costs so much less!

My anxiety and depression have disappeared. Sleep apnea is no longer an issue. These days I hardly ever snore. Every blood marker is in range. Sure, dropping weight alone—without any GLP—could have produced the same results, but the GLP gave me the push to begin and helped me build the discipline I'll need going forward.
Without a doubt, it has driven lasting success! I adore it!

These kinds of threads are the best! Seeing all of your wins gets me so excited, and I'm quietly rooting for each of you while I read through them!

  • My speed on the racquet sports court has gone way up
  • Sitting on a plane or at my office desk, I can cross my legs without any discomfort
  • While washing my hands, I catch a glimpse of my arm muscles flexing in the mirror and it surprises me every time — hello triceps, nice to finally meet you.
  • There's no limit to what I can wear now, and wow, every single piece looks great on me. 😊

Same here, completely!! Reading about all the amazing wins people are having along the way gives me such a boost and really inspires me! I'm only at the beginning of my own path, and I'm eager to mark those kinds of milestones once I get there!! Love it!!

A person shared this over on reddit, and only after reading it did I notice the same applies to me, but...

Once I finish peeing, there's no dribble left anymore lol. Less visceral fat surrounding the organs? Inflammation? No clue, yet it genuinely happens. Oversharing, I'm aware, I'm aware.

I began in XXL clothes. By the time I reached goal weight, I was in Size 10 / Medium.... No further weight has come off - yet size 10's now sometimes feel kinda big... and wouldn't you know it - most 8's fit fairly well -- so even after over a year on maintenance - and at the same weight - body is still adjusting ...

Blood pressure went from 170/110 down to 121/81

Resting Heart Rate dropped from 87BPM to 62BPM

My blood pressure is getting back to normal. Crossing my legs is finally comfortable. Alcohol cravings are completely gone (which means more cash for kits!)

We just welcomed a whippet puppy into our home, and honestly, on most days I’ve got more than enough energy to keep up with her ❤️ Without dropping all this weight, adding another member to the family basically wouldn’t have been possible. Once this little sweetheart has grown enough, I’ll be able to take her out for jogs 🤩

Running into folks I haven't crossed paths with in years and watching their jaws drop never gets old. Usually I have to introduce myself first since they have no clue who I am.

Picking up clothes at regular shops instead of the big-and-tall place is such a win. 5X->L. Plus I've got a few pairs of jeans in size 33. 🤯

And echoing what others have shared here already: lacing up my shoes without gasping, sitting with my legs crossed, no more seat belt extender, and actually having room in event or airplane seats. The list goes on and on!

That's fascinating! lol!

That is massive!!! Getting my blood pressure checked at the doctor used to make me really anxious every time!! These days I’m fine with it!!

The clothes I’m wearing are ones I already owned. Over the years, especially before and after I retired 2 years back, the weight crept on.

When I checked mine this afternoon, it was 118/68. Since I began Reta, my HR has climbed to roughly 80 BPM. Before that, it stayed near 72.

That dog could probably beat you in a race. lol Those animals move fast.

no longer bumping my large stomach into doors after thinking I'd opened them wide enough!

getting rid of my plumbers crack since my stomach isn't shoving my pants downward

Joining the grandkids in the bounce house/water slide at birthday parties!

I wore out my old yoga mat, so I had to get a replacement. It had never crossed my mind that wearing one out was even possible. This marks the first time I've kept at something long enough that replacing fitness gear became a consideration.

Painting my own toenails is now a breeze, and they look adorable.

Injecting into my thighs on my own is no longer possible. I'm still chunky, but I can't manage a good enough pinch anymore.

I completed a mud run.

My A1C sits at 5.1, and my cholesterol is back to being fine.

Every piece of clothing I own is too big.

I can leg press 630 for reps.

Squatting other humans is something I can actually do—like putting them on my shoulder and doing squats.

Carrying furniture no longer worries me.

At this point I don’t even jog, so watching what happens should be entertaining 😎
