My reta order arrived with a batch number, plus a Jano certificate showing that same batch number. Would you take that at face value, or would you ship a single vial off yourself for confirmation?

I don't always run a new test. That said, there have been times when I did. If you can locate a group that tests your specific vendor, product, and cap color, group testing is the best option since it usually costs far less.

Each dose costs you next to nothing. Before any markup is added, the suppliers you purchase from are shelling out at minimum 3x less.
Producing this stuff is sooooooo cheap that creating counterfeits would end up costing far more!!!!
Sure, you might end up with a bit less or a bit more than labeled, but ultimately what you're getting is the compound you paid for.
Testing just 1 vial doesn't prove anything... The remaining 9 vials in that kit are 100% different from whatever you shipped off.

Testing just 1 or 2 vials from a kit is, at most, a gamble. Consumers like us serve as the sole genuine check on quality control, yet even that breaks down: if a vendor intends to leave the market soon, quality stops mattering to them, because no consequences or responsibility exist.
You're right about that, and on top of it, dropping another $200 for each compound's testing isn't something everyone can swing after already shelling out $XXX for the product, particularly when multiple different ones were purchased. Plenty of folks working on their health probably put every bit of their "SPARE" cash into GLP's, so there isn't much left over. If someone does have the means, though, I suppose it might buy a little bit of reassurance.

Sure, though what really grabs my attention is things like endotoxins. When the production process (or the way it's handled) has a problem, the only method to find out is through testing.

To start with, endotoxin screening isn't included in the standard panel — it runs an extra $120.
What you're shipping off is 1 vial, and it won't be returned... The remaining ~9 vials stay untested...
So you're paying 200 for the peptides, another 200 for testing, plus 120 for the endotoxin add-on — all of that just to feel sure about 1 vial. That's the whole benefit.
If that gives you peace of mind, then I'm on your side, but for me, going gray is a gamble I'm okay taking.
