Vendor Criteria

For me, the two most important traits in a vendor are honesty and communication. Not every one of them manages to meet that bar.

Testing should be paid for by the vendor, and I need to be sure the COAs they show are up to date for whatever I'm buying. Every vendor I use has built a solid reputation among their own buyers, and that reputation is part of why I stay.

Once a shipment goes out, I expect the tracking number to come to me without me having to chase it down.

There should also be some way to follow the order and find out if something goes wrong. If the vendor spots a problem, I want to hear about it from them. A couple of my vendors will actually message buyers along the lines of, "This is stuck in Customs and we'll order a reship by the end of the week, if the status is the same". That's good service.

Standing behind the product matters too. My main vendors will swap out anything that doesn't live up to the quality stated on their COAs. The better ones will do that when a buying group hands them a Jano COA as proof.

A vendor can vanish overnight, but while they're operating, these are the things I look for.
I don't see it that way. A vendor's COA has value, but it isn't the gold standard. They could submit several vials, select the favorable results, and publish only those.

In my view, a COA provided by the vendor isn't merely helpful — it's absolutely necessary. If a seller has no idea what's actually in their product, why would I hand them my money?

Doing your own testing is the absolute least you should be doing.
No problem. My point is just that when you run your own test on the product, that carries much more weight than whatever COA the vendor provides. There are vendors who filter out the poor samples and only put up the favorable ones.

Occasionally a vial shows up shattered, or it goes to the wrong address. Chinese suppliers and the US warehouses they run will send a replacement, though that is not true of every smaller domestic seller, including certain domestic group buy resellers.

One reason I have pulled back from GBs on TG and Discord is that they typically lack the scale to simply reship when the last mile of delivery goes sideways. Shipping insurance might be offered, but who would purchase shipping insurance for illicit items?

Also, my view of TG flipped from loving it to hating it in a single night. The vibes are just bad now that it is used for fent distribution to minors, among other things. Naturally, the Internet itself is like that.
Leaving those groups was a smart move. If a group buy offers no reship, it has no value. Going solo with a vendor who does reship is the better route. Since it seems like anyone can set themselves up as a Group Promotion Vendor lately, there is no lack of garbage GBs.

I actually came across several solid GB vendors through TG, and they even cover testing beyond just mass and purity, all without extra cost. Since my orders tend to be small—typically under $200—I'm not exposed to major risk.

Besides, I'm working on steering clear of temptation, because the only thing I might genuinely require this year is additional BAC water.

Here's what I look for:

Ships from within the US

Runs some kind of community hub where their customers hang out — Discord, Telegram, Zulip, doesn't matter which

Has been around for over a year

Hasn't had any big blowups lately

When scandals did happen, big or small, they made things right for the people who got burned

Recognized and praised by folks I "know" from this community.

I got lucky with my choice: the one I went with takes a non-crypto payment option I already use, and a fast TG search on STG turned up plenty of positive feedback about them. The only downside for me is the absence of an official TG or Discord of their own, which would make it simpler for regulars to stay in touch and coordinate testing. Even so, they have been excellent so far, and after digging around STG enough, I figure they are not merely a vendor but actually produce the peps themselves. A lot of them don't. A lot of them just finish off the vials and go.

There's a vendor I use who keeps zero social media footprint — all she has is a Whatsapp number. Staying unnoticed suits her. Given the current situation with Discord and TG, that might actually work in her favor. Her buyers set up a chat group of their own. She's been operating for 5 years, and most people in that group have stopped testing altogether since the quality has never wavered. Every now and then a test comes along that confirms it. Things could shift down the road, but I doubt she'd put her customer base on the line at this point.
