Hi everyone, #-hello-allis there anyone who knows about, or has tried, sterilizing peptides with ultraviolet light? Maybe by way of a SteriPEN Ultralight UV Water Purifier or something comparable?#-does-anyone-have-experience-or-kn...ltralight-uv-water-purifier-or-similar-devicethanks#-thanks-BB #-bb

I wouldn't really suggest it—a lot of peptides break down when exposed to UV. On top of that, the gadgets you're talking about won't do the job. Or at least, they'd come with a big chance of making contamination worse. There are certain other UV setups where you put a vial in and let it "cook," but .....meh.

The payoff doesn't justify the effort. If sterility worries you, simply filter.

Should it be capable of killing bacteria, chances are it will also break down your peptides.

From what I have read, the guidance is to store them somewhere dark, out of visible light. UV carries far more energy and is much more likely to break the peptide down.
