I keep getting an "Insufficient Privileges" message when I try to post there. I'm not aware of doing anything wrong. It seems like I catch a bit of flack on almost every other post, but that's normal. My skin is thick enough and it doesn't bother me in the least. Yet I still lack the privileges needed to post in the intro area. I figured maybe I just needed to stick around for a while before access opened up, but the restriction is still in place. Could I be doing something out of order?

My only reason for being here is to learn from this forum and add something if I can. If I've been flagged or I'm not wanted here, I'll happily move on and save everyone the time. I would have sent a message to a Moderator, but I don't have that privilege either.

I realize this isn't the right area, and I've already done that part. But the Intro area won't let me post anything at all.

If the meaning of “No source discussion” has you—or anyone else—puzzled, this older thread covers nearly every angle people raised about it.

I checked out the intro section and noticed folks putting up their very first Introductory post there. I haven't been around all that long, but I'm well beyond my first post or like. I'm not questioning the No source d...

Since this is a post and I've noticed you posting in other threads, you do have the ability to post.

You can definitely read the majority of the content and engage with others in most sections.

There is plenty to learn here.

If you weren't welcome, the Ban is just a button, and it would be far easier than putting up with all this.

If the bot is flagging you, there's probably something in what you're posting that triggers it, so check out the announcement section and go through the rules.

Normally you wouldn't need to message anyone about this, but if there's an issue beyond asking how to get more privileges, you can reach out through the contact us link at the bottom of every page. Bear in mind that spamming the admin is frowned upon, so I wouldn't use it frivolously.

Being able to start a new thread somewhere other than the Introduce Yourself section tells you that YOUR INTRODUCTION HAS ALREADY BEEN POSTED.
