Hi!

I'm a guy from the UK, in my early 30s, and overweight!

After searching through subreddits, I came across this site.

This week I injected my first 2.5mg dose of tirzepatide, and I feel great. There have been some headaches (after the first one I've made sure to drink a LOT more), but honestly no other bad sides. As long as it doesn't stop working quickly, I can't see myself increasing from 2.5 for a while. I'm already feeling full constantly.

Right now tirzepatide is the only one I'm really interested in. Possibly reta once my cardiovascular health improves. At the moment the heart rate issue worries me.

Excited to keep learning!

Hi,

Another UK member here. Good to hear tirzepatide is suiting you. My own experience was similar - it felt quite mild, and the starting 2.5mg dose already did the job, though after that I needed to move up step by step.

These days I'm on reta. My heart rate hasn't gone up as far as I can tell, but my sleep doesn't seem to be as good as it used to be.

What length of time were you able to remain at 2.5mg before an increase became necessary?

It's good to hear that, apart from the sleep issue, the reta is working out for you.

Honestly, only about 2 months so far.

Hi!

Male, UK, early 30s, fat!

I found this site after digging through subreddits

I took my first 2.5mg dose of tirzepatide this week and I feel great. Some headaches (I’ve made a point of drinking a LOT more since the first one), but literally no other adverse sides. Unless this loses its efficacy quickly I don’t see myself going up from 2.5 any time soon. I already feel full all the time.

I’m only really interested in tirzepatide at the minute. Maybe reta when I have better cardiovascular health. The heart rate thing concerns me right now.

Looking forward to learning more!

My advice would be to go low and slow, without a doubt. Also remember there's no rule forcing you to move directly from 2.5 up to 5. My own approach was adding 1mg each time (my starting point was 2), and it worked out really well for me with zero side effects. The weight is coming off gradually, yet steadily. 6 months along and I'm still on 5, with 30 pounds gone.

Stick with the smallest dose that still gives you results — there's no reason to go higher. My first week or two brought quick losses, then things eased off. Likely water weight. Just move up gradually and remember that losing weight is a marathon, not a sprint.

Glad to have you here!
