Hey everyone,

I've just joined GLP1Chat.

I'm in the UK, a guy in his mid 30's, 5ft 10 tall, and the scale currently reads 110kg.

I've never been slim — always carried a bit more bulk — but lately my weight and fitness have become a real problem.

Right now I'm tracking macros and eating at a deficit. I'm not moving as much as I ought to, though that's something I'm working on.

Some health problems have hit my family, which gave me a serious wake up call. I'm tired of feeling this way.

So I'm here hoping other people can share advice and guidance.

My plan is to add weight loss drugs to help things along.

I doubt the NHS would offer me anything even with my BMI, so I'm going down the self-funded route. With that in mind, could anyone point me toward sellers they'd recommend? And which product would you say I should go for? I've read around a bit but honestly can't tell whether there's much separating them.

Thanks in advance — happy to answer any questions!

Honestly mate, I'd say kick things off with retatrutide. I'm also UK-based. Back on 31st Jan I weighed 112kg, and today I'm down to 100kg.

Hey, welcome aboard! And well done on taking that first step toward change!

Each GLP-1 brings its own mix of advantages, so the right pick really comes down to what you're mainly after. You mentioned having some health issues too — knowing what those are could sway which option suits you best.

The 2 I'd point you toward first are Tirzepatide or Retatrutide.

If cravings are your biggest battle and you really want help quieting your appetite, Tirz is a solid starting point.

If you can manage your eating patterns on your own and the main aim is dropping weight overall, I'd go with Retatrutide. It won't curb hunger as strongly, but based on my own experience and what others have shared, it's likely the strongest all-round option for weight loss in my view.

I'm about your age and was at a similar weight when I began. Kicked off Reta in January at roughly 225lb and I'm down 17lbs so far, titrating up gradually.

You've got this! Best of luck!

I haven't used Tirz myself, though it's often said to be the stronger option when it comes to keeping hunger in check. Still, during my first 10 weeks on Reta I barely noticed any appetite reduction, and I figured Tirz would have been the smarter pick... then once I increased the dose to 4mg/week, the suppression finally arrived, and now I'm glad Reta was my starting point.

I'm under 1 month into my own path, so this is just my take. Tirz has worked well for me when it comes to quieting the little hunger pangs that set off my "habit eating". My plan is to stay on it for as long as I can, then move over to Reta. Once I get to that stage, tracking food and staying in control ought to feel automatic. Later on, I'm hoping Eloralintide is out by then, and I'd probably stack it with Tirz. Beyond that? The pipeline is packed with so many candidates that 2 years from now I can't predict what will be on the market and shown to work. It'll be "interesting".

Hey mate — good to see you posting.

It sounds like tracking and staying in a deficit are steps you've already made, which is more than many manage at the start. And that "wake up call" moment tends to be the thing that kicks things off.

Feeling unsure about all the choices is pretty normal too — at first it can seem like a lot, but once you focus in, it tends to become clearer fairly fast.

As for the various options, there are differences, but plenty of people here began in a similar place and figured out what suited them through some learning and tweaking as they went.

Probably the biggest thing early on is:

  • keep doing what you’re already doing with food
  • slowly increase activity when you can
  • and take your time learning before jumping into anything
There’s a lot of good info here, so you’re in the right place.

Good luck with it — you’ve got a solid starting point 👍

Hi there! Take a look through the Tirzepatide and Retetratide sections — there's a ton of useful material there. For me, Tirz has worked far better, and the way it kills appetite is incredible; it really changes everything. Another point that doesn't get enough attention is how much it brings inflammation down overall. If your joints ache because you're carrying extra weight, you'll notice a massive improvement. Your sleep gets better, moving around gets simpler, and so on. Do your research and enjoy the results!

Thanks for getting back to me — seems like we're in a pretty close spot, so keep pushing, mate!

Mind sharing where you get the retatrutide? I've spotted it brought up here, plus a few other boards I've been looking through lately, but I still haven't found anywhere in the UK that sells it, or what it runs you.

hey man, welcome to the forum!! i'm fairly new here myself, but the past 3 weeks have taught me a lot (on top of the deep research i'd already done myself).

first off, genuinely well done for starting this — it's a life changing road, it won't be easy, but it will be worth it. and hey, we're in the same mess together, right?

now, your questions:

vendors can't be named or recommended here — there's a dedicated topic page for them, and anything you do is at your own risk!!

what i use: mainly retatrutride

why? it's among the most studied, and has the most potential on the market right now!

what sort of thing is it?

a GLP-1 medicine.

a few of the better known ones you'll see in actual medical practice:

semaglutide (ozempic and wegovy)

and trizepatide (mounjarno)

what they mostly do is mimic the hunger hormone and damp it down — you feel like you've eaten enough, and the food noise quiets.

trizepatide has a second job: it binds to the GIP receptors, so when you eat you get that "ok, i've had plenty, no more" feeling.

retatrutride does all of that plus one more thing!

it hits the GLP-1 and GIP receptors as well as switching on glucagon.

glucagon improves energy production and nudges fat cells to be drained off faster.

that's why retatrutide is seen as having so much promise — it's treated as the new heavyweight of weight loss meds.

these peptides won't wreck your hormones either; once you stop, your balance should return to normal, most likely with no lasting effects.

remember, these are tools (like you said).

they buy you the mental room to make the lifestyle changes that actually matter.

keep a real eye on your kcal and protein, to limit muscle loss.

the more muscle you lose, the less you can eat (kcal).

note: they also affect your electrolytes, so get some electrolyte powder and have a glass every day or every other day!

hope this helps!

much love:

No Name

(edit: this isn't medical advice, it's pure information sharing plus my own experience, research studies, claimed effects and my own deep dive into the literature. whatever you take is at your own risk!)

My numbers are close to yours. After 6 weeks on Tirz I'm down 7 kg. That's a solid beginning; my plan is to build up a Reta stash and switch once Tirz stops working for me. People keep saying Reta doesn't curb hunger as much, though I figure that varies from person to person.

Getting it in the UK isn't cheap, mate. Your best bet is to check out supplier lists, do some research, and take it from there.

Yeah, I've noticed it hasn't been given the green light in the UK so far. I'll take a closer look at the vendors and try to wrap my head around it haha

Tirzepatide worked really well for me. I saw results right away--several pounds came off during week 1. That did a lot for my motivation. For me the side effects weren't bad: a bit of fatigue, some heartburn, and constipation. As of today, four months in, I've gone from 230 lbs. (104 kg) down to 181 lbs (82 kg), and I think I'll hit my goal weight in about a month.

Back in January I made the decision to switch over to Retatrutide, tapering down the Tirzepatide while ramping up the Retatrutide. That plan didn't pan out for me. The appetite suppression I'd grown reliant on pretty much vanished. On top of that, as Retatrutide built up in my system, an unpleasant side effect showed up: my skin--mainly on my back--got extremely sensitive, like a sunburn. It's a recognized side effect known as allodynia. So in February I began transitioning back to Tirzepatide. My appetite suppression returned and the weight kept coming off.

EDIT: grammar

Welcome to the Pep world my friend.

I began with Monjaro myself and dropped a huge amount of weight, but that's exactly where the issue sits — dropping weight alone wasn't my aim, I wanted to hold onto some muscle mass, so for me it's King Reta all the way.

Still, do your homework before you commit, since I'm also wrestling with the whole buying off the grey market thing. Vendors come across as solid and quick to reply provided you do it properly and sanity check their COAS on sites such as Jannoshik, plus the scammers rigging test results for profit over at Finnrisk, they are 3rd party testing.

Pick up what I'm trying to pick up about using crypto, and once you're set, track down a vendor through the vendor connection section on here and step into this world pal.

Wish I'd stumbled onto the pep world years back, there are so many solid ones around now.

Good luck brother and shout if there's anything anyone can help with.

It's great that you're working toward better health and putting goals in place. I'd definitely suggest looking into tirz or Reta, since those two seem to get the best "reviews." From what I've heard, tirz may be stronger when it comes to suppressing hunger, though I haven't dug into that myself. One thing I do want to make clear: weight loss drugs are NOT a magic fix you still need to be working out and eating clean Plenty of people seem to believe they can simply pin and watch the weight drop off, but unfortunately that isn't how it works.. best of luck on ur journey, I hope i helped
