Hey everyone,

I'm a 25-year-old guy living in the UK. Right now I'm taking Reta and I've just had my 6th dose.

Dosing schedule:

Week 1: 1MG
Week 2: 1.5MG
Week 3: 1.5MG
Week 4: 2MG
Week 5: 2MG
Week 6: 2.5MG

My weight when I started was 103.2KG.

As of 15th June, I'm at 87.9KG.

Solid effort. I'm in the UK too, though I'm 2x your age 🙂 .

Once I've finished looking into it, I'm hoping for results along the same lines

Solid results. My own path has been quite similar. I'm in week 5 now, but the scale hasn't budged for 2 weeks.

First 3 weeks: 14lbs down

Week 4: 4lbs came back, and nothing has changed since.

Just holding out for the next whoosh. After a year on MJ, I've learned these stalls show up more often than you'd expect, and then out of nowhere you'll shed something like 4-6lbs in 1 week.

Has anyone else struggled when increasing their dose? Once I reached 4mg each week, I ended up dropping back down to 2mg weekly because of bad sleep, symptoms like the flu, and a tingling sensation on my skin.

You're increasing your dose much too quickly — there shouldn't be a need to bump it up that frequently. I'm 4 weeks in and I'm still on the same dose. I made that mistake with mj over a year ago.

Hey!

Appreciate you posting about your journey. I'm about to start Reta myself, and I'm curious what you're referring to with “buzzing skin” so I can watch out for that symptom.

Thanks, and wishing you all the best!

Nice work getting started. Those results are fantastic. Is there a particular dose you're aiming to reach? Regardless, great progress—keep it going!

Paresthesia is the broad label used for odd skin feelings — tingling, prickling, electric, buzzing.

When people on GLP-1 RAs describe it, the more precise term is frequently peripheral paresthesia; should it feel unpleasant or painful, then it becomes dysesthesia.

In Eli Lilly's Phase 2 retatrutide trial it appeared as an adverse event, meaning this is a documented and recognized effect rather than only anecdotal.

Thanks a lot for breaking that down so thoroughly. That clears it up for me. Every day you learn something 🙂

Over the last week or 2, things seem to have stalled for me. The scale is stuck between 87 and 89 kg. I’ve started doing weightlifting

Shoulder press

Biceps etc

My guess is that my body is holding onto as much water as it can.

Visually I’m leaner, so that’s what matters most to me.

My target is 70kg. That's where I'm at my healthiest. After that, I'll begin exploring 10% body fat while muscular

When the number on the scale won't budge, non-scale victories are the strongest indicator of how things are going.

My own suspicion is the same: upping protein and lifting heavy has kept the scale stuck. Still, I'm fairly confident there's slight movement when it comes to how clothes fit.
