Hi everyone, hope things are going well with your own goals!
I used a telehealth service that was in network for my health fund. I attempted to have my health fund cover it, but without some kind of co morbidity they refused. So I paid $199.00 for one month of 0.25. And wow, it appeared to work. Over that month I dropped roughly... eight pounds. I figured, fine, that was simple. I'll simply order it once more. So I scheduled a consult for another prescription. The woman I ended up with, though, told me a blood test should have been given, this should have been done, that should have been done. So they put me through every hoop imaginable. To make a long story short, getting the prescription again took about three weeks. They wanted the results, you see. A follow-up consult had to happen. For all those consults, test reviews and such, they likely billed my health fund a thousand bucks.
Then eventually, yes, one more RX came through. But three weeks had passed without it. I started drinking again and the momentum was gone. I was up around six or seven pounds, basically back to square one. So I took it. I paid for another $199. That's fair enough. And now $199 is no longer possible for me. At $199 I only get two goes. After that they want $350. For me that's simply far too much. I won't pay that amount. It's just stupidity. My health fund would come out ahead by funding this stuff for me, since it cuts my drinking down to almost nothing. And it makes me lose weight. I'm only obesity type level one to two. I'm not crazy overweight, but still, I'm 48. Just prescribing this stuff to me would save my health fund money, but no, they won't. So here I am.
