Traveling with peptides: TSA questions and gear suggestions?

I'm taking a domestic flight within the US. If I pack 4 peptides, insulin needles, and an ice pack in my carry-on, should I expect any trouble from TSA? Could they confiscate it since there's no prescription label on it? Going through TSA gives me anxiety—I've been pulled aside and drug searched multiple times before because I had baby formula and kids with me. They'd always take everything out, swab it, and run it through special scanners.

Does anyone have ice pack or travel container recommendations?

Domestic flights shouldn't give you any trouble. On a recent trip, I brought 4 peptide pens in my carry-on. The only reason they went through my bag was an 8 oz tub of body butter. The pens were plainly visible on the X-ray screen, yet nobody pulled them out or inspected them. Other trips with them have gone smoothly as well.

I looked around and came up empty. My search attempts included phrases like traveling with peps, traveling with pedtides, travel with, flying with, and so on, but I couldn't find anything that matched.

Yeah, the search engine here is temperamental. Give "TSA" a try — that pulled up a bunch for me.

A Google search with "site: glp1chat.com [search term]" often works better. Leave the brackets out.

After swapping my search terms for "TSA," a handful of threads turned up. Every day I inject 4-6 peptides, and tirzepatide goes in 2x/week, so simply not packing them isn't an option for me. A few could stay behind during a 5 day trip, but the rest I can't do without. If the worst happens, I suppose they just confiscate everything. TSA is the worst.

Check out the link I shared—pretty sure I spotted 7 options in there. My guess is you'll receive plenty of responses

That's quite a few to keep rotating while on a trip. If pausing some is possible, that'd be my initial suggestion.

If you're set on taking them along, I'd consider an ice pack, a hydra flask, and checked baggage.

Print out info from a wellness spa for each one and keep it with the containers.

A lot of what we inject is available at spas, which could lend some credibility.

If you began with compound, carry your original compound prescription.

Pens would certainly be beneficial in your case.

When it comes to vials, syringes, pens and similar items, TSA has no interest. I fly domestically very often—roughly 60-80 flights per year—and not once have I been stopped or had my things searched. I've brought vials packed in ice inside a Yeti, whole bags of syringes, peptides loaded into pens, loose vials, you get the idea. If it exists, I've probably flown with it. International trips are the only time I check luggage, so everything I mentioned always stays with me in my carry on.

I have flown within the US and also to Central America carrying vials plus unused syringes. Neither in the US nor anywhere else did a single guard show even a hint of concern. My guess is that they process thousands of people with diabetes daily.

For extra peace of mind, I'm considering that when I travel again I could create a convincing insulin label and some equally convincing prescription paperwork. Real insulin label images can be found online.
