Top vs bottom peptides — reading the forum votes

A quick meta-analysis lifted from the top/bottom replies thread. The data behind it is thin, so treat it as a curiosity rather than a reference.

I tidied the thread by tying every top/bottom list to the username behind each list, which stops quoted replies being counted twice.

How I did it:

  • One original vote-set per username.
  • Lists posted as quotes were skipped.
  • Where a list was partial, only the named items counted.
  • Obvious synonyms got merged:
    • Reta = Retatrutide
    • Tirz = Tirzepatide
    • Tesa = Tesamorelin
    • MT-2 = Melanotan 2
    • AOD = AOD9604
All of this is anecdotal forum sentiment, never clinical evidence.

Reta and Tirz come out as the clear winners in a sample this small. They turn up again and again as top picks and never make a formal bottom list.

GHK-Cu noses ahead of Tesa on raw positives, yet Tesa keeps firm backing and reads more like a "performance peptide" depending on what someone wants to optimise.

PT-141 splits people hardest. It has its fans, and it also carries the largest bottom count.

AOD reads as the lowest-confidence item here, with little perceived return — it lands on bottom lists repeatedly and gets no real top support.

NAD+, DSIP, MOTS-C and MT-2 point both ways. I wouldn't call any of them useless on this thread alone; they look highly individual, goal-dependent or side-effect-dependent.

MT-2 needs the most careful reading: some people may rate it effective for tanning while still ranking it badly over side effects such as darkened moles, freckles, scars or other skin changes.

I'm somewhat unclear on where your data came from, but "meta-analysis" carries a specific definition in research, and this isn't one. That said, I'm not claiming your work is uninteresting.

In research, a meta-analysis refers to a statistical method for pooling findings from several separate studies that address the same question, yielding one stronger estimate of an effect. I tend to describe it as a "study of other studies." When statistical results from multiple studies are combined, you get greater statistical power, conclusions that generalize better, and a way to reconcile conflicting findings in the literature.

What exactly are the top/bottom threads? Given how few numbers appear in the analysis, I'd expect that pulling data from the forum would yield more observations.

ETA: Now I see the thread... duh.... I share @mybodyisasewer's view that more data will be available once the thread grows longer.
 
Pretty cool. If that thread ends up with a lot more replies in a few weeks, you should definitely return and update this. More data like this would be great to see.
 
Interesting! Just remember that these figures track how popular each option is. Since tirz and reta draw so many users, they'll naturally collect plenty of votes. A peptide with a smaller following might have just 1 positive vote, yet that could still mean a high success rate among its users.

More data would be great, but it's still neat to look at.
