I've been stepping my NAD+ injections up gradually. The schedule I keep reading about calls for 100-300mcg while loading, taken daily, then 2-3x per week, and finally tapering to once a week and then once every 2 weeks. My problem is that even at 80mcg the shot stings - or as we'd put it around here, it's seriously spicy. Anyone else pinning NAD+ suba in that range: how do you cope with the burn, or how do you tone it down? I'm mixing at 100mg/ml at the moment. A couple of days from now I'll move from my current 80 up to 100 units, and eventually to 200 units at that same strength. A site I found through google suggests adding a little lidocaine. Any thoughts?

After running it for a good while I suspect I have simply adapted. My mix is 500mg/mL and shots run 20-22 units. These days there is hardly any sting left. Anything above roughly 110mg in a day gets broken up into 100mg/hr portions for me.

Make sure you don't confuse mcg with mg.

1000 mcg makes 1mg

1000 mg comes to 1 gram

On the stinging side, after several NAD+ cycles I simply topped up with enough BAC.

My own run was 100mg daily (m-f) across 6 weeks, scheduled 5 on 2 off

EDIT

and yes, the vial was 500mg/5ml with injections at 100mg/1ml

My first shot goes in today at 25mg, just to see how my body handles it. A Wellness clinic gave me a 150mg injection once before without any trouble, but this is the first time I will be doing it myself and it has been quite a while.

My routine was 25mg daily for one week, and these days it's 25mg 3-4x/week. A week at 50mg brought on a few unpleasant flushing episodes (face hot to the touch, a sort of tingly sensation), so I dropped back to 25mg and have parked it there. Other than reta, it is the only peptide I have felt from the very first day.

Mine burned at the start too, as I recall. Moving the shot to my thigh appeared to make the difference. These days 115 units goes in and I don't even think about it. Stick with it for a while and it should settle down.

Does that mean two syringes? First 100 units, then 15 units? Might just be me, but that seems like a strange dose?

A 1ml syringe won't hold any more than that.

Is the NAD+ you're using buffered, or not? Mine comes from a 500mg vial of buffered NAD+ reconstituted with NaCl BAC and I get no sting from it at all. YMMV - a lot of the peps people call spicy seem to do nothing to me.

Understood - but why that particular dose?

Quoting units with no mg/ml reference tells us nothing, and plenty of people do exactly that.

The protocol I'm following is the 14 week mitochondrial repair one.

My ramp was 25mg first, then 50mg, then 100mg.

To keep the sting down I began at 500mg/10ml, which puts 50 units=25mg and 100 units=50mg.

These days my mix is 500mg/5ml, so 100 units=100 mg.

That's the problem with unit-only talk - without knowing how much BAC went in, it's guesswork.

Surely it isn't 500mg/1ml? Would that even dissolve properly?

The 100mcg figure is just as hard to follow.

The mito protocol is what I'm on as well. Right now I'm in week two of ss31. My NAD+ gets reconstituted to 200mg/ml, so a 500mg vial of NAD+ takes 2.5ml of BAC. Two shots a week at 50 units is what delivers my 100mgs.

Those are the syringes I happen to have, and that's the strength I mixed. On my next vial I'll likely go to double strength and then pin 150mg.

Mine is also mixed to 200mg/ml, since I would rather keep each pin to 50 units. There is a small burn, though it fades within a minute. How spicy it feels is definitely YMMV.

For subq use the NaD+ protocol should land roughly in the 50mg to 100 mg range. Definitely not micrograms. It varies person to person. Burning was never an issue for me at 50-75mg, though I do get a head rush. The first 100mg subq shot I gave my husband had him complaining of burning, so I brought him back to 75mg. That's where we both sit happily. What you want is the same thing - the smallest dose that still does the job for YOU. Good luck

So at 100mg/ml, your 80 units would be.

Shouldn't that read 80 MG rather than ug?? I haven't tried it myself, but my understanding was that you'd begin at 5 MG, move to 25, and keep climbing. Jumping straight to 80 mg seems like it would be spicy.
Mine is 80mg. Recommendations put it at 100-300mg. I began on the low side and worked my way up.

Meaning it simply became normal for you over time?
