Hey all!
My first tirzepatide dose was at the end of November. That was when I realized I couldn't keep going the way I was, and I wanted to reclaim my life before hitting 50 later this year.
Through years of dieting, my weight climbed to a peak of 289lbs. Time and again I put in the effort and dropped x pounds, only to slide back and put on x+y pounds. Last year at the end of September, I returned to keto since it had helped me before. By the end of October I was down 10 pounds, but I could feel myself inching toward the edge of the wagon. I was set on not falling off, so I frantically searched and came across an online provider I could sign up with for a year, paying through my HSA funds.
Scared, I took the plunge. And I'm so happy I did! I've moved past keto (I doubt fruit and potatoes caused my weight gain.. my sugar addiction, which hit me like crack, did). For the first time in my life, I eat the way a normal person does. I wish this had been around years ago, but I'm grabbing the chance I have now and running with it.
I've thrown myself into learning as much as I can, making sure this path is something I can keep up for the rest of my life. I've picked up a lot, but there's still plenty left to learn.
