this has to be the wildest thing i've ever come across lol .... all i'm saying is, could the placebo effect really be powerful enough to drop 10 lbs, holy crap

The brain is an incredible organ, capable of all sorts of super powers. That said, I'm a bit doubtful that someone who was distracted enough to leave the needle cover on would also be distracted enough to forget that they truly did take it off....
 
That's quite a fascinating thing. With the cap still attached, what would have happened when he pressed the plunger and it refused to move?

Should a person's weight climb once they've taken a "real" one, my strong suggestion would be for that user to go back to how they were doing it before and screw the lid back on....
 
Just rage baiting the Reddit crowd. There's no way a person actually “thought they injected but left the cap on.” They only want comments, because they got too little attention when they were a kid.
