Hey, I thought it would be fun to start a thread like this (though if you have serious concerns, feel free to share those too).

For me, one downside of dropping weight was that I finally could fit into all those jeans I'd kept around for years — only to realize they aren't my style anymore.

Hahaha, same here — I've finally gotten into a few pieces from way back. My wife keeps saying it's time for new clothes, but I keep postponing it since I'm still not at my target weight.

You can "pants" me while I'm in my newer ski pants.. though I could just wear a belt, or treat myself to a new pair as a reward 🙂

When people who haven't seen me for a long stretch see me now, they worry that I've dropped too much weight. My BMI is in the normal range, yet they can't get their heads around it and jump to the conclusion that I'm either ill or dealing with an eating disorder 😆

Buying a whole new set of clothes. And some items that do fit still have tags on them from 2012.

Realizing you deserved better treatment all along, yet people still treated you as lesser.

No longer needing to worry about chairs, but still doing the big mfer hover sit out of habit.

Losing track of what size you are now, so online orders end up getting returned.

Getting takeout and saving half of it for later.

I can't stand clothes shopping. I have no interest in picking up new clothes in my size.

Looking nice isn't something I enjoy. If you come across as really poor, the majority of people will judge you harshly. The people I appreciate are the ones with enough character not to do that.

All summer long, the only thing I wore was stretchy yoga shorts. With the colder weather arriving, I pulled out some actual pants, figuring they had been snug last winter and would likely fit just right by now. Instead, they slide right off me! Thanks, reta! 🤣 It's a good problem to have, but still such a hassle! Clothes shopping is not something I enjoy. So here I am picking up new-to-me pants on ebay. Why spend money on brand-new clothes when that cash could go toward more peps? 🤷‍♀️

For me, the biggest cost of dropping weight has been clothes. In 1 year I've had to buy close to 2 whole new wardrobes, and that dwarfs what I spend on the freezer drawer stuffed with peps.

Socks, shoes and belts are the only items that still work for me (belts needed a bit of tweaking).

One thing I'm holding on to is the suit I wore to my wedding 18 years ago. It's purely for nostalgia — there's no chance it will ever fit me again 💪🏻

Constantly feeling cold. Right now I'm under a blanket wearing shoes and socks, and my feet are still freezing!

Another thing I find funny: nobody says anything about the first 35 pounds, but then out of nowhere, once the last 15-20 come off, everyone reacts and keeps commenting on it. What really surprises me, though, is that I dropped 26% of my body weight between doctor visits, and the medical professionals whose job it is to assess and discuss my health never mention it or ask one question about it. <shrugs>

Well, my chest and rear have vanished at this point…so there's that! Luckily my husband of 39 years doesn't mind 🤣😎

Oh yes, I've been freezing as well

Instead, they're too occupied giving themselves credit, convinced their recommended diet and exercise were the reason.

It's strange, honestly. Before, if I showed up with a sore throat, I'm convinced the response would have been to diet and exercise. Now that I've dropped a lot of weight, though, nobody says a thing.
