The COA Conundrum: Scrupulous Sourcing vs. Blind Trust

There kind of is. Check out titratelab. They claim to have a database of all publicly available test results. TLDR: BFF was in the top position last I checked.

I'll be honest, I have a high risk tolerance. My body has not been a temple and I have made all kinds of stupid (and fun!) risky decisions throughout my life this far so it does track that I wouldn't be a DIY auditor out the gate.

The thing that's great about this community is the variety. In one of my first posts, I asked for the opinions of people who don't test and a fair amount of the folk who posted there have a similar train of thought.

I too had a lot of bad decision fun in my 20s! It was a BLAST! Now that I'm in my 40s and am starting to feel the effects of time and age, I'm much more cautious in every aspect of my life. Everything I take has either been tested by me, a group I'm in, or I've seen at least one recent (within the month) 3P COA from a testing TG I'm in. Right now I'm sitting on some SS-31 (daily dose) and Cagri (weekly dose) and since they came from the wrong warehouse, I missed testing groups for them. They are just going to sit for a while until I can test myself (especially the SS-31--I'm not risking a daily pin unless I know it's not going to have a bad effect.) That's not saying you should change - you have a higher risk tolerance than I do, and that's your personality and prerogative! Good luck! ☘️

"unlock the vendor names with Pro" I thought it looked a little slick...

group buys and independent testing, only real way of knowing what you have, like others have said, the COA from vendors aint worth much, they can just keep putting different batches out with the same tops and pass it off as the same batch

Did you pay for the membership and is it worth it? Are you checking it every so often and does it bring value beyond the initial lookup of your favorite vendor(s)? i.e. is it updating with new tests with the batches given?

Same questions. Subscriptions are an automatic turn-off for me. I will look forward to hearing about the experience of those who try it out.

Yeah if I did it, it would be the $30 lifetime deal instead of another $12 dinging my bank account every month that I am going to forget about it. Frankly with what we spend on peptides, probably worth it just to give it a try lol.

Thank you very much for this database.

I can't find any documentation on their calculation methods: do you know where I can find it?

It's important to understand something about the purity data reported: it shows the distribution of each lab's test results, but doesn't tell us much about the manufacturing process because we don't know how many batches are produced.

Its potentially a useful service to have a third party that runs batches from various firms through testing and then just charges a monthly fee. The more people that did it the cheaper it could be and the more widely it could test in terms of vendors and products. The only way it could really be trusted is if it bought its own tests because using submitted ones could very well be manipulated by the vendors.

As much as I love group testing its a hassle, takes ages and its hard to get organised for rarer products or sizes that only some vendors carry.

I hadn't visited that site for a few weeks and it was very clunky then and seemed to be a work in progress. At that time, the complete list of vendors and their ratings was freely available. They are apparently trying to monetize the information now.

I don't know if it's worth paying to get access to their vendor ratings but I do wish I had taken a screenshot of the top contenders when it was free. I just checked and the site is still pretty clunky. I have no intention of paying but may check in occasionally since some of their articles are interesting.

It was fairly evident that their vendor ratings were heavily weighted by the number of 3rd party test results publicly available and with minimal reported bad results so it's unsurprising that BFF was ranked high. I think GYC was also up there. But this system really handicaps many high quality vendors that cater primarily to group buys since these results are rarely publicly available.

There are some Skool groups that have dedicated vendors, they also pay for a lot of individual testing along with vendor provided tests. Of course theres monthly fees but its way less than paying for all your tests. I just chuck it up as "extra fees" much like paying for shipping.
