Anyone come across the Corbus Pharmaceuticals trial for weight loss that uses THCV? The idea is that it reduces cravings (food-related thoughts). Researchers are looking at pairing it with Semaglutide to boost how well that works.

There's a CRB-913 Program Overview you can look at, plus the clinical trial design is available on the CANYON-1 Study Page.

A few months back I attempted to enroll in the study, but a positive cannabis test ruled me out. I'd had some gummies roughly a month before.

From what I know, THCV can be bought online. I plan to test it out alongside my Tirz. Has anybody here in forum land given this combination a go? If so, I'd love to hear how it went. Thankssss

I recall checking out THCV back when it first appeared. I'd be up for trying it at this point, though I doubt my probation officer would approve.

With any luck it won't dull people's minds and ruin NREM sleep the way regular THC tends to. THC strikes me as something better suited to occasional use.

A quick note: among the various cannabis compounds out there, THCV is known for triggering paranoia in a lot of individuals. Fingers crossed that doesn't happen in your experience.

Interesting, whenever I used pot it made me hungry.

If the strain is the right one, the effects are amazing! The munchies don't come with every strain. Quite the reverse, actually. It's nothing like what we smoked back in our younger days (I'm 56). There are so many options now. I live in a state with medical marijuana. My husband and I got guidance from the dispensaries here to pick what suited us.

I wasn't aware that gummies could still be detected after a whole month had gone by (apart from a hair test).

I picked some up not long ago. After several days of using it, I haven't felt paranoid at all. There's no anxiety, and no high either. What I am noticing is a slight reduction in appetite. It helps most with junk food cravings.

According to what I found online: THCV (Tetrahydrocannabivarin) is much less likely to cause paranoia or intense anxiety. It actually tends to work against the receptors responsible for THC-triggered anxiety, and people sometimes use it to ease stress as well.

They hit pretty hard, honestly.

What you're saying makes sense: when a strain doesn't have much CBD, there's nothing to counterbalance the THC. That's why a high-THC, low-CBD strain tends to bring on paranoia.

From what I recall, a High Times piece about Sativas — which I'm a fan of — painted THCV unfavorably, since the cultivar it discussed contained large amounts of both THCV and THC and had a reputation for inducing paranoia. With respect, I see it differently.

The strains you can buy now, at least the ones I've personally sampled, won't make you high and won't trigger paranoia. So far I've gone through 2 separate brands. According to the medical study, there's no high involved either. If you're the "paranoid" type, best to steer clear 😂😂😂
