My interest in health and wellness began when I was roughly 12 years old. That's when I got into weightlifting, driven by a desire to become stronger and more athletic. The first time I really noticed a problem with putting on weight was during college. I was eating cafeteria food daily and drinking Busch Light Draft at night. During those initial 8 months of my freshman year, I put on roughly 40 pounds. Keep in mind, I was still in decent shape, but my build shifted from lean and muscular to muscular yet softer, going from about 175 to 215 at 6'2".

Jump ahead 20 years. Around my 40th birthday, I began running into a wall, largely due to the typical culprits, hormones among them. My free testosterone was low, I had a long-standing B12 deficiency, and there were certainly other contributing elements. I felt exhausted, and I spent a big chunk of my 40s and early 50s (I'm in my mid 50s now) trying to work out what on earth was going on with me, without much assistance from my physician or the broader medical field.

To condense a long story, over the past several years I've been digging into why my quality of life isn't what I'd pictured for myself at this stage. I've examined nutrition from multiple angles, mitochondrial dysfunction, systemic inflammation, insulin resistance, and more. Along the way, I've picked up plenty of useful insights about health that I'd gladly pass along to anyone who could use them. As with most folks here, my pursuit of wellness and vitality led me to this peptide space. I'm grateful for all that's been posted here during the few weeks I've spent reading and learning quietly, and I'm eager to contribute back to this community in whatever way I can.

A few numbers as of now: SW 258 on 10/21/25 (the day I began Reta), CW 236, and GW would likely fall somewhere between 195 and 215, more or less. I'm not in any big hurry; dropping 5 pounds per month over the coming months would probably land me where I'd like to be. I'll be adjusting things as I go. My focus will lean more toward "living my best life" rather than what the scale says or which belt notch I'm on.

What I'm running now: SS-31, Reta, Mots-C, Tesa/Ipa, and I just added Klow today. This is precisely the stack I had in mind for myself when I started mapping out a plan to hit my peptide health targets. Everything I'd read about peptides before trying them lines up quite well with how they've worked for me so far. They've delivered on a lot of the promise, which wasn't my experience with many other supplements. Naturally, time and the lessons that come with experience will give more clarity on all of this.

Thanks for having me.

How has Klow treated you up to this point?
This morning marked my 3rd injection, dosed at 1.25mg (which works out to 1.5mg once you factor in roughly 20% overfill in the vial). So far, my impression is that it may be providing some mild benefit for my gut, something I really could use. Because this is the first new compound I've introduced in roughly 3 weeks, I'm watching closely for anything that shifts. Once day 8 arrives, I plan to keep titrating upward to a full 2.5-3mg dose and stay there until the vial is gone. I mixed it with 3ml of BAC, and as far as injections go, it hasn't felt any more uncomfortable to me than other things I've tried. I'm not getting the histamine-type reaction that MOTS sometimes gives me. I'll share more once I can tell more. If anything specific comes to mind that you'd like to ask, just say so and I'll do my best to give you an answer.

I appreciate you getting back to me!

My main reason for considering GLOW or KLOW (or alternating between them every cycle) would be the benefits to my skin.

That's reassuring that the shot isn't causing you any pain!

Glad to be here! As for Klow, I can't claim there's zero PIP—what I can say is that up to now it doesn't hurt any worse than jabbing myself with any other needle. This morning I also did Mots-C in my other leg, and while the Mots left a small red bump, the Klow left nothing at all. Once I increase the dose that could be different, but at this point it's been fine.

How's SS31 treating you? I'm considering picking some up for my training
@Vantaq

That stack was built with a lot of care and research behind it. SS-31 came first for me since I have a background of mitochondrial problems and felt I required it. Almost immediately, it helped, particularly with mental energy. Over time the benefits have grown less obvious, yet SS-31 remains an important piece of what I use and will stay that way for the foreseeable future. Whether to add it is something I'd base on age, how much energy you have, and your general health. There's a fairly useful YouTube video from Josh Holyfield on figuring that out that's worth a look. His overall point: if you're on the older side and more worn down, say 35-40+, you likely need it; if you're younger and performing well overall, you may not. A short video where he gives his view is here:

.

As I mentioned before, he also has a longer video covering the same topic if you're willing to spend 10-15 minutes on it; it may help you settle the question for yourself better than I can. I'd also suggest checking out the 14 week NAD+, SS-31, and Mots-C protocol that's been shared around here to shape your thinking. It lays out some of the biological rationale behind how the different parts are structured and timed.
