For those of you in TG chats that use safety bots to auto-edit potential trigger words (i.e., orders → 0rders), have any of those groups been nuked to date? Or are they bulletpr00f?

I honestly dont think any of those groups are bulletproof. Thats not the impression I get and im on dozens of them...

But again, I dont know for sure

Just like good vendors are good until they're not, all pep TG groups are not nuked until they get nuked. I have purchases out with five different GBs, and two of them have been nuked in the last 3-4 days.

Appreciate the general point.

To be very clear, I'm specifically asking about groups that use the SPC Bot. Has a group using the SPC bot been banned to anyone's knowledge?

I'm asking because it's a pretty good safety bot from what I've seen. Quite good at sanitizing all messages, banning bad actors, etc. before anything ever hits the live chat.

Some Group Promotion Vendors are using this. I’m curious whether anyone has seen it fail in practice

I saw a post once that, if I remember right, was from the Safe_Pep_Chat bot creator who acknowledged that he knows everyone hates the bot, but at least up to the time he posted that comment, no group that used it had ever been nuked. I’ll see if I can find the comment again.

Edit: found it. It was posted in March

A group just got nuked yesterday that uses SPC, so no it is not bulletproof.

It seems it would be so easy to get AI to trawl for unnatural words, match them to similar real words, and poof!

21st Century Dick Tracy decoder ring, bad-guy edition.

Do you think your product is gone? How do you get into 5 GBs at once?

@greenwave1015: To be clear, both of these groups were using that specific software, as are most of the pep related groups I have any experience with. It's part and parcel of the anti-nuke toolkit. It doesn't always work.

@Rdg1970: No, I doubt this is going to even delay anything noticeably. Navigating group buys is similar to anything else in this space; you have to invest some time to learn how things work just like we are all doing here.

I’m not sure why it helps. The unedited messages are still being sent to the TG servers. They get deleted ASAP and an “edited” version is posted by the bot.

But at the end of the day, the message was still sent to the server, so idk why deleting it quickly really makes a difference unless TG gives way too much weight to admin deleted messages not being problematic.

This actually makes a ton of sense, good response!

Guess these safety bots are just plain annoying, with no benefits..
