46, M, with a wife and 3 boys, and my aim is to stay healthy for them for as long as I possibly can. Cholesterol and heart disease are both in my family history. Covid is what kicked my health journey off roughly 5 years ago. Catching it showed me how fleeting life is. First came the Wim Hof method — cold exposure plus cyclical hyper-ventilation breathing. My wife started walking daily around then too, and we joined the local YMCA as a family. Since then, lifting and muscle-building have taken up more and more of my time. Texas is where I'm originally from, but we relocated to Minnesota to help care for my mother in law, who lives with a TBI. Peptides are a very new area for me (only a few months of reading so far) and there is a lot I want to pick up. but every bit of reading shows me how variable these compounds really are. Figuring out which of these can be relied on is an arduous process. TBH the minimum I'm after is some confidence about what's reliable and safe. With what this costs, putting money into something that might turn out to be nothing worries me. Dropping weight isn't the goal for me so much as longevity options. Thanks for sitting through my Ted talk.
