Testing Mitochondrial Health

I understand the concept of running ss-31 before or during a mots-c stack to try and repair mitochondria before we are optimizing it.

My question really is how do we know it needs to be repaired? Are there any tests for this? Or is it generally assumed that there is damage and repair is necessary in just about anybody?
 
I don’t believe there is an available test. With age it’s said to slow down. Generally younger people see less benefit from those peptides than older people.
 
I’ve done an organic acids test (OATS) through my functional medicine doc a few times. It’s got info related to mito function/health. It is not what conventional docs would use to diagnose mitochondria diseases, but offered me insight.

Testing mitochondrial health is largely about testing cardiovascular heatlh. V02max is the golden marker for that since it integrates so many measures of cardiovascualr health and fitness. If your VO2max is increasing, then you're making your mitochondria more efficient, and you're also creating new ones.
