I've been using 5mg of Tirz since December '25, and I'm considering adding a weekly 5mg dose of tesa to help keep muscle and target visceral fat. My aim is to limit the number of peptides I use, cut down on unnecessary injections and the chance of side effects, while staying at the lowest dose that still works.

Right now I can't train because of a fracture, but I plan to get back to the gym after I recover.

Has anyone given this a go, and what were your results?

My own run began exactly 1 week ago. Since adding tesa, my blood sugar readings have climbed, and tesa stands out as the likely cause because every other peptide I use leaves insulin sensitivity alone. Over that week the scale has not moved at all, which leaves me puzzled. I eat very few carbs and calories, and I still train at the gym. My hope is that next week brings faster progress.

Tesamorelin’s evidence for cutting visceral fat is fairly solid, but calling it a reliable way to hold onto muscle isn’t supported, particularly if you’re not lifting. My advice is to stay conservative: don’t push a steep deficit, get plenty of protein, prioritize recovery, and once you’re cleared, get back under the bar. Muscle that was previously built comes back quicker than it did the first time.

Once you begin Tesa — cycling or not — a bit of water weight can show up. For me that was roughly 3 lbs. Sure, it brings a short-lived stall. Honestly, that's a sign it's doing its job lol. The moment you come off, within a few days, you ought to see a good release of that retained water. I certainly did. Currently on cycle number 2, and this time it isn't about dropping pounds — it's about reshaping my midsection from the inside outward. My aim was cutting down the visceral fat wrapped around my organs. I can feel those Big Macs dissolving off my liver 🙂

To make sure I follow — is that 5mg taken once per week, or divided across the week?

I use Tirz and Tesa together, and once I added Tesa my weight loss slowed down a lot. In fact I gained weight, which is common because of water retention. Still, I really like Tesa: I sleep like a champ and my strength training has gotten better even though I cut back slightly on how often I lift.

My advice is to wait on adding it until you're back in the gym, so you can get what I believe, based on my own experience, are the full benefits.

For now I'll likely wait. I've got more weight to lose, so bringing in tesa later on seems more reasonable.

As I keep digging into this, my interest in tesa keeps dropping — at least for now. Mots-c, on the other hand, could be worth trying, beginning right away and carrying on after I return to training.
