I want to spend proper time reading up before I make a few changes to my life. Background on me: I have never touched GLP-1s or anything in that family. I stand 5'3" and weigh 130 pounds, and my relationship with food is not a good one.
The work I do is fitness based and keeps me moving. Looking the part matters to me, but staying agile and healthy matters more. Given what the job physically demands, carrying less weight is simply kinder to my joints.
The most I have ever weighed is 140, and the first ten pounds came off just by tidying up my normal eating. Stress eating is something I have battled though. When a dish is good I cannot stop until my body tells me I have gone WAY past full.
What I want is to build better habits and learn to tell when I am eating to fuel myself rather than to soothe myself.
My aim is to shift this final 10 pounds that have hung around for years since childbirth, and to finally feel at ease in the body I live in.
