Switching from Reta to other (generic) GLP-1R agonist

I just took my 7th (Tirz)shot. Like you, I have weight to lose and want to improve how I feel. In 6 weeks, in combo w improved eating habits (food choices) and exercise I have lost 10 lbs. I went from starting 2.5 for 4 weeks to 3 MG. I think Id like to stay LOW dose , and maybe add Reta (when I get it) on a low dose and see how they work in tandem with one another. By the time I get the reta (it was a group buy and they take longer) I may be at my goal, but we shall see. I have noticed Tirz has really helped with inflammation elsewhere in my body (fingers, knees, even my feet feel happier). Id start on low dose and maybe taper up SLOWLY to avoid the ugly side effects.

There is a huge divergence in experience on the forum side vs the clinical trails which is very wierd tbh.

Just because you can make reta doesn't mean its exactly like elis reta. Ive read some rumors implying the chemical compound itself can vary from manufacture to manufacture. Which could explain how some just get wrecked on it and some dont. Not to mention what you think your dosage is could be double and you wouldn't know unless you tested it. Half of elis arguement making it a biologic was their special sauce they baked in. Who knows.

I agree that this could be a possibility altough I know nothing about the drug manufacturing space.

I had mine group tested so this isn't an option. I even switched to a new vial, but it didn't change anything. Maybe there is somehow a unique difference in the generic version, but that would seem unlikely to me.

That's exactly my point. There are differences, even if the 'Retatrutide' tests at 99.xx% purity. Some seems to be only marginally or even completely ineffective. Misfolded proteins are a factor, storage, heat, etc. The number of people with zero results strongly points to issues with gray Reta.

I am not here to say Tirz is worse. Not my point. But now that we know faketide/bunktide/and ineffective Reta is all too common, a comparison between gray ineffective Reta and good Tirz is not valid.

Example: A member here talking about a particular vendor posted: "That's the best Reta I've ever purchased" I think his vendor was BFF. Others post similar results, with some vendors providing a far better product.

Edit: FYI, the various AI's scraping the web for info on gray Reta's effectiveness have all concluded gray Reta is quote: "Wildly Inconsistent"

Edit2: In the peptide longevity chart, most of the Retatrutide did not degrade all that much after 90 days. One brand degraded 44% at 90 days, another brand less than 3%. They are not all the same.

The #1 reason people have dropped out of the phase 3 reta trials is too much weight loss at their assigned dose.

There’s a common thread in almost all of the complaints on social media about reta being ineffective: it is almost entirely people trying to switch from high dose tirz. For unknown reasons that switch doesn’t seem to work very well.

The trials are largely patients new to GLP-1s and it seems to work extremely well. Anecdotally gray reta seems to work extremely well for people new to GLP-1s as well. But the folks who took the popular advice to start with tirz and switch to reta if they plateau? Those people almost always seem to have problems.

I think in time we'll likely see more information surface around this whole topic of generic glp-1 quality, specifically for retatrutide since it seems to be the most inconsistent out of all the other meds.
