Hey all,

Male, 40, based in the UK. My starting weight was 160kg, and I’ve come down to 140kg—that’s 20kg lost with Mounjaro, which has genuinely changed things for me.

Recently I’ve spent hours digging into the next wave of triple-agonists, and Retatrutide has really caught my attention. After going through the clinical trial data, I’ve sketched out a very cautious theoretical titration schedule beginning at 0.5mg, aiming to locate my "sweet spot" gradually.

I’d rather not go through this next stage by myself. It would be great to hear from people here who have moved from Tirzepatide (Mounjaro) over to Retatrutide, or from anyone else looking into it right now.

How did the transition go for you?

What was your titration schedule like?

If you made the switch, was there a noticeable shift in energy or appetite suppression compared with Mounjaro?

Looking forward to exchanging experiences and helping each other out!

About a year back, a rep gave me some Mounjaro sample pens. I used them for 1 month, but there was 0 appetite suppression and really awful heartburn, so I quit.

For the past 6 weeks I've been using Reta instead, and I've dropped 26 pounds without any significant side effects. I'm a big fan.

My starting dose was 1mg, and it became clear fast that this wasn't going to cut it. By shot number 6, I had moved up to 4mg. After that, I pushed the dose up aggressively to 7mg. I wouldn't tell others to do that…but it's been working in my case, and I haven't experienced any real negative effects.

26 pounds lost within 6 weeks — that's genuinely remarkable, well done! It's really interesting just how varied the responses are between people when it comes to these peptides. For me, Mounjaro delivered strong results, so it's surprising that Reta flipped everything around in your case, especially after those awful side effects.

Reaching 7mg by week 6 is a very fast ramp-up! Given how quickly you increased the dose, did anything shift with your resting heart rate or how energetic you felt? That's exactly what I've been digging into when it comes to the glucagon aspect of Reta.

Amazing outcome — congratulations, and I appreciate you laying out your timeline for us!

Nice work so far!

I'm in a similar spot (41 year old male, UK). Started at 142kg, now sitting at 95kg after a year on Mounjaro.

The Mounjaro doesn't seem to be doing what it used to, so I'm either going to add a small amount of Reta to break the stall or maybe make the switch like you did.

After roughly 2 years on semaglutide, I saw nothing — my weight kept bouncing around. Once I moved to Tirz, the change came quickly. Now I'm 6 weeks in and running Reta at 2.5mg alongside it, leaving a 4-day gap from the Tirz dose of 5mg. Tirz appears to quiet food noise effectively, while Reta looks promising for fat mobilisation and energy output. For me the pairing is working nicely — I have plenty of energy, which makes it much simpler to add exercise and reduce muscle loss.

With Tirz I moved up slowly, but because I wasn't getting any side effects, I pushed Reta faster. Semaglutide felt harsh to me, yet Tirz and Reta have both been smooth.

I made the switch from tirz to Reta, and I'm glad I did.

The one downside I experienced with Reta was a higher heart rate, plus it disrupted my sleep somewhat. I began at 1mg for several weeks, then moved to 2, 3, and 4. For me, there was never any reason to exceed 4. My sleep wasn't being affected too severely.

My response to reta has honestly been quite unusual: my rhr used to be poor when I began (87 bmp), but now it has dropped considerably to 64 bpm

I have to be honest: during my first 5 ~ 6 weeks on Tirz and Reta, my sleep was a total mess. On the plus side, even with 8 hours of sleep, I felt more energetic than I did before starting them. These days my sleep is gradually returning to its normal rhythm. It was simply a matter of waiting it out.

I'm keeping an eye on your progress.

44, female, based in Ireland. My current Mounjaro dose is 10mg, and so far I've dropped roughly 38kg (a bit more than 82lb).

MJ is suiting me well — side effects have been minimal to none. My original reason for checking out Reta was money, but after that I figured Tirzepeptide could also work for me.

A supplier has been chosen, yet I'm still torn between Reta and Tirze.

Spent 1 year on mounjaro. Around 3 months back I made the change to reta..currently at 5mg..no weight lost at all, appetite is still there plus cravings for sweets😅 going to introduce tirz now to find out whether that does anything..😁

After 3 months on Reta, I'm down roughly 35 lbs and currently taking 8mg. I've been considering adding a low dose of Tirzepitide partway through the week. Does anyone have any input on this? I appear to have stalled and I'm not ready to increase beyond 8mgs just yet.

If stronger hunger control is what you're after, cagrilitide could be worth a shot — start at a really tiny dose, and quite a few people have reported it working well for them.

I'm following the responses here with a lot of curiosity - I'm in the same boat of thinking about going from Tirz over to Reta, but low dose Mounjaro has been giving me appetite suppression that seems to be doing the job, so I may just remain on it (though switch to grey to save money) for a while longer. As long as it keeps working (gradually, but it is working) then sticking with what I'm on might be the smarter move. I suppose my bigger worry is that I'd lose the appetite suppression I get from Tirz and then end up needing a stack to make up for it, rather than just continuing with the single thing.

I haven't used tirz, but my Reta plan is about to begin—I'm only waiting on the delivery. I've got everything I need, yet I'm likely still clueless 🤣
