I'd like to hear what you all think about Elora.

Elora isn't part of my routine at the moment. My plan has been to keep going with my GLP-1 until it stops working as well or I hit a plateau, then move to Elora so that long-term maintenance is simpler. Is that reasonable, or am I fooling myself?

Has anyone here actually come off a GLP-1 and moved to Elora? If you did, which dose were you on before, what was your starting dose of Elora, and how did it turn out?

Meanwhile, I notice some people are microdosing Elora, or stacking it with Tirz or Reta instead.

What do you think about that? How are you using it, and what has your experience been like?

I'm on 4 mg tirz plus 1mg Elora to maintain, though it's only been 15 days, so I can't speak to any long-term picture yet.

From what I can tell, the majority of people combine eloralintide with tirz or reta instead of taking it alone. As I recall, @skaylife runs elora as monotherapy.

In my view, elora likely works best as an add-on to a glp1 medication — either to get past a stall or for maintenance over the long term (once again, combined with another agent) — because it acts on a different pathway. It could also make sense for someone whom tirz or reta doesn't work for, or who can't tolerate the side effects.

Your reasoning for sticking with your glp1 seems sound to me. As long as the glp1 you're on now keeps your appetite down, you're still losing weight, and any side effects are tolerable, there's really no reason to stack or switch to elora.

I'm not taking Elora, but I am on Cagri (another amylin). I'm in favor of stacking and wouldn't make a swap, since they act on different pathways. My routine is 10mg Tirz on Thursday, plus .5mg of Cagri and .5mg of Sema on Monday.
