Greetings from 🇸🇪

A male 35 year-old who has been working out since age 15. Decent results have come my way whenever fitness got prioritized. Around 30, extra weight started adding on and workouts grew fewer. A separation came, and last year there was more time on my hands; health and fitness got more time in my life again, strength came back quite quickly, but the extra layer of fat was still there. A few months of heavy lifting had muscle mass back up. Body fat sat at about 18 to 20% in the fall of 2025, I'd say. TRT treatment began. Recovery and strength both got a lot out of it, plus a bit of fat loss. GLP's first caught my interest for the anti-diabetic and visceral fat qualities. Retatrutide at a very low dose was my first GLP experience. 0.250mg/v went on for 4 weeks, almost 0 of the appetite suppression benefits showed up, but a cutting schedule was in place so a few pounds still went. My New Year's resolution became being below 10% body fat year round for 2026. And being more insulin sensitive, so carbs could be used better around workouts.

Losing muscle mass was not the goal; only the body five percentage needed to drop below 10%. A Withings+ smart scale was bought for Christmas and gets used for daily tracking.

The dose went up from the 0.25 to 1 mg per week and a little appetite suppression effect started showing about then. Supplier got switched on my Reta and the first 2 mg per week dose was taken, split into two - 1mg Monday and 1mg Thursday. Appetite suppression hit immediately, and a sandwich eaten with breakfast took forever to finish, I remember. The same dose held for the next four weeks and the appetite did come back a bit. Down to 10.5% body fat I did manage to get. Nearly none of the muscle mass was lost, still, but feeling a bit sick had started so training had to pause. A break from the Reta was the decision once this vial was empty.
