Reta has been my medication for about 9 months, and about 25 pounds have come off as a result. 15 mg per week was a brief period, but reactive hypoglycemia meant cutting back to 10 mg per week. That dose has been in place for a few weeks now. Since around February, barely any weight has come off - in fact, my weight has basically plateaued.
Reactive hypoglycemia has been with me since I was a teenager...but only about once every two months on average. Now it happens every week. Reta is probably to blame. My doctor's suggestion to switch to Tirz came about for that reason.
Where would you start with the dose? Cold turkey, or with a transition? So 6 mg of Reta and 4 mg of Tirz at first, or something along those lines.
