Hey everyone! My goal here is simple: begin again with a healthier life - nothing more, and everything that goes along with it! Time for the honest stuff . . . I've brought up 2 wonderful, balanced, caring kids, supported them through university and helped them leave home - they're thriving, employed, and enjoying their own best lives; several years back I walked away from a 30 year marriage to a decent man who sadly was also a serious alcoholic and wouldn't get help - that relationship taught me plenty about who I am but left me deeply unhappy - thankfully, we remain friends and still see each other as "family" even though our lives look nothing alike now. In the end I had to put myself first for this next phase, and I'm determined to close out 40+ years of being out of shape and carrying extra weight, and automatically ranking myself last. Writing that down is tough - FORTY years! Growing up in a large family where extra weight brought shame shaped me into a pleaser and an overachiever, I think, so I could shine in areas beyond what I believed my looks could ever accomplish - it's weighed on me since childhood. The funny part? When I see old photos from when I was *only 20 lbs overweight, I wish (I WISH!) I still had that body!!! I was attractive and sporty and vibrant! Why couldn't I appreciate that back then?! No need to answer . . . 🙃

I've used tirzepatide for 15 months (3 with Lilly and 12 compounded through Pomegranate Health) - dropped 30 lbs very slowly across those 15 months and have been stuck at a plateau for the past 7 months. I've been looking into Reta - hoping it might carry me forward toward losing the last 40 lbs and help protect against muscle loss. This is honestly the first time in my life I've given myself the time and room to put myself first - I'm neither delusional nor frantic - I just want some encouragement to keep at it and the chance to experience what it feels like to have a "normal" weight in a "normal" body. Just hit 60 (yay!) and otherwise feel fantastic - but I also know time slips away and this may be my final shot at a healthy body and moving through life without extra weight - - both physically and emotionally! ; ) I've begun PT for joint pain and am getting into weightlifting to build strength and protect my bones; I have Big Plans for what's ahead, and I need this body to perform at its best. I'm here to learn and take part in this community - excited to jump in.

My name is MoonGazer because I truly am a moon lover/gazer . . . I'm also into puzzles/Legos/travel/cooking/good people.

NGL, getting all this out has been cathartic. Thanks for reading my book.📔
