Hi there! Appreciate the explanation. The science really appeals to me. I began 2 weeks back myself, just .5mg/wk. I got 1 vial from a supplier within the country. Want to explore further.birdwhacker said:
Here's the breakdown: peptides sit between small molecule drugs and bigger biologic therapies, acting as lengthy chain signaling units. Reta specifically is a synthetically altered, hardened form of a peptide that naturally occurs in the body and, after eating, signals both fullness and blood glucose; compared with its natural version it persists longer (a half life of 6 days), which lets it send signals more effectively.
Using roughly 20 base amino acids, peptides are mass produced, made in China, then shipped into the US where they're sold on the grey market or through sketchy domestic outfits that lean on a wider legal-risk angle by labeling them "research only" and selling to individuals.
I'm in week 3 of reta and liking it quite a bit. Want to hear more?
No problem at all! I'm also 2 weeks in, and I'm still working through my domestic vial while trying to stock up a freezer's worth, now heading into week 3. I've dropped 8lbs. Check out my post history — the latest thread I put up. In that one I go into a lot of detail about my dosage, the results I've seen, and the reasoning behind it.IronCircuit said:

Appreciate the guidance. Seems I'm not among the hyper responders at low doses, so I'll need to push harder. Tomorrow is my next dose and I'll go with 1mg. Aiming to keep it at 1 injection per week. "Food noise" isn't a major issue for me. I'm already fairly lean, wanting to fine-tune things with the help and better manage any cravings I do get.birdwhacker said:

It varies from person to person, but my original plan was to begin at 0.5mg per week, yet I wound up taking 2mg per week divided into multiple doses, and I'm really happy that I went that route.
Absolutely! You're in charge of your own body and how fast or slow things move. At this point, I've found a dosing range that works well for me, and I hope that after a few weeks of dosing you'll land on something similar. If it were me, I'd keep doses closer together during week 1 to get a solid level built up, then space them out to once a week if that suits you – though I can only speak to what worked in my case.IronCircuit said:

By "tightening," are you referring to taking a "microdose" every couple of days to figure out my proper level? I'd considered trying that this week, but I was concerned that at some point it might hit me hard all at once, rather than settling on a dose and sticking with it for a full week.birdwhacker said:

Back when I first started at 0.5mg, I often added extra doses to keep my appetite in check. I ended up doing 4 doses within 1 week. During week 2, I took 1mg after 3 days, then took another 1mg after 4 days, though honestly I probably could have stretched it out more.IronCircuit said:
