Alright, so after several months of being on it, my weight has come off in a different pattern. Normally when I diet and hit the gym, my butt and legs are the first to shrink. On Reta, the loss hit my stomach, moobs, face, legs, and ass. At the same time, what was your progression like?

I assumed my weight loss would have tracked the same way my body usually drops weight.

Everywhere else shrank over time — my boobs, back fat, and stomach held on until roughly the past month. Only recently has my midsection begun to shrink. My chest is following the same pattern. That stubborn back fat seems determined to stick around, I suppose. 🤷‍♀️

Alright, but in the past, when you followed diets, where did the weight tend to come off?

My stomach was always the first place it came off.

Reta might be the reason — as a “triple agonist,” it targets glucagon receptors in addition to GLP-1/GIP. Fat breakdown can be prompted more directly by glucagon, and that process operates somewhat differently from simply consuming less.

That could be why the pattern you're seeing doesn't match previous diets — and perhaps why face/moobs were lost first, given those regions tend to be quite hormone-sensitive.

I'm not 100% certain, but it looks like a reasonable explanation for the changed sequence.

The pattern has certainly been unlike anything I've experienced. My face, chest, and arms are where the loss is showing up most, while my abdomen has changed far less. Years back, when fasting was my method, the weight came off mainly around my midsection and legs. This really does behave differently, and compared with fasting or dieting it's far less of a struggle — I'm not locked in constant battle with my own willpower anymore.

12 Kg gone. Veins are showing up more, the belly is disappearing, and the face keeps getting leaner. My legs look like nothing has changed, but that doesn’t bother me much. That’s where I’m at right now.
