Hi everyone. Really glad to be joining so I can learn a lot more and hopefully shed some pounds along the way. I am 56(F), currently on Retatrutide, and after some support and guidance on this road. Type 2 diabetic here and Metformin no longer does the job for me. I took part in a study (2 yrs ago) for a new oral GLP1 medication, and I dropped a good chunk of weight and got my diabetes under control. Sadly the side effects were rough (the usual stomach/constipation/vomiting thing), so I pulled out of the study early, but since I was close to my goal weight I was fine with that.

Jump to today and almost all of that weight is back (aprox 45lbs), with my A1C up again. Ozempic or Wegovy are out of reach because of the price, so I did some digging, and about 2 months ago I came across Retatrutide. I am only down 5lbs, but I am titrating very slowly because of how the side effects hit me on my previous GLP1. There have not really been any, so I am very pleased with how it is going.

Thanks a lot for sticking with me this far, and I hope you all have a great day!

Hello from Alabama. Glad to have you join the forum. I've just begun using reta too. It's the first glp1 and peptide I've ever tried. Right now I'm experimenting with the mitochondrial stuff. Look through every thread on here and absorb what you can. For a few days you'll be in a restricted status, though that lifts in about a week. Wishing you success in hitting your goals.

Thanks, and same to you. The "mitochondrial stuff" catches my interest too, lol. Right now I'm sticking to one thing at a time, since I want to observe what each one does. I'm also doing a short run of BPC 157. 6 years back I had bypass surgery, and chest wall pain has been a persistent issue for me. Up to now it appears to be genuinely helping.
